What if... "Blocking" threads

so there's threads I don't want to feel obligated or pressured into responding to.

There's threads that give me the urge to say something.

Do you ever get this way?

Where you want to and it leads to bad endings, or you are left feeling terrible?

What if we could block them from view?

We already can bookmark threads, how about being able to block threads from our view?

{support. Even though I don't seek out threads on forums they still come up on the front page and ik there's some I prefer not to see. Certain discussion thread, closed species groups, even just overly annoying trade threads-- it would be nice to simply not be reminded they exist. I guess it's kind of a small issue that I don't think about much but this could be a lot of help for people who, say, are triggered by certain words in said thread titles.}
{I can see this being beneficial on a larger scale as well-- if it extended to blocking entire forums, parents could just block the 18+ forum so their kids aren't even tempted by it. we all know how kids are.}

Support, but I'm sort of on the fence.
Realistically, I'm not sure how easy this would be to code. Would it still show up in the "Recent Posts" tab on the front page? How would this look when scrolling through the forums? (Like would it just disappear completely (not likely) or just be replaced by "-------- by [username]"?) What about blocking a thread that's posted under Oekaki?

I already use something similar on Chrome (desktop). It's a plug-in called "Advanced Profanity Filter" but instead of filtering curse words, I filter out my PTSD triggers. Everything I don't want to see gets replaced by "-----"! You can add words and phrases. It even can detect people trying to get past these filters (for example, if my trigger is "Dog" and someone types "d o g" or "doghouse" it'll still get picked up by the filter). There's lots of customizations for it. :)
