Advertise The Site

From the time I joined Cs, to now I've seen alot of changes. I've met alot of people, and genuinely enjoyed my time on the site. However, one thing is becoming clearer the longer I'm here and its breaking my heart. Chicken Smoothie is Dying. I'm seeing Record lows of new RP Fourms in every genre, ive gotten very few tade requests and meetings new people is hard because of a lack of new members. And I dont see anyone doing anything about it.
Chicken Smoothie needs to advertise. It needs to draw in new, younger members and fuel the fire that kept this site bursting with fresh Ideas, unique people, and killer writers. And we need to do it before CS dies out completely and becomes a ghost site. I know I'm not the only one thinking this. I cant be. Chicken smoothie played such an important role in my life. It helped me develop a writing skill that I would have never knew I had otherwise and I'm not just going to sit by and watch it die. I cant be the only one that this site impacted. So please. Advertise. And If anyone else agrees please comment below. Let's save the site and restore it to what it use to be!

fuuuuull support on this! i'm not very active, but i've become more recently, and it's sooo hard to stay motivated if literally no one is on! here are some suggestions:

-maybe supply a reward program for members that refer other members?? a special pet perhaps? (Ex: refer person and if they JOIN and CONFIRM THEIR EMAIL, both people receive that special pet? ( referrer could receive a different special pet from the referee perhaps?)

- Get volunteers to draw art for ads and reward in special pets or maybe a special title?? (title meaning like for ex: Tess has Admin title; perhaps volunteer artists get their own special title? "helper", "Artist", etc.)

also, OP, make a poll for this so even people who cant post can support!! im really into this idea ~ <3!

I've seen many adoptable sites rise and fall.
In my opinion, the site is only alive when it has regular updates and the owner is around.

Too many times I've seen sites with a healthy usebase and people who genuinely enjoy the site, but the owner just stops being around. The site goes on for a little while but it's only so long until someone just forgets to put adoptable out for the month. Then a few months or even a year later stops paying the bills altogether for the site and the site can't even be accessed. Without regular updates, the site is dead.

Yes the current staff do run events, but aside from the C$ tag on store pet fiasco, there hasn't been a single quality of life update since 2014. I sure as heck wouldn't want to tell someone about a site that hasn't had an update for a quarter of its life span.

I think CS should try to keep its current user base alive and happy before starting to advertise this site. Shian already said that there hasn't been an update in a very long time, and I think this is one of the reasons why some users decided to leave. Don't get me wrong, I love CS - it played a really big role in my childhood and I'm still in love with this site, but I'm also yearning for some quality of life updates. Really great suggestions have been made over the years, and there are still more suggestions popping up - some are supported heavily and some are not, but even after years a lot of them haven't been implemented into the game even though many users would really like to see some changes. To me, this is really frustrating and wouldn't make CS particularly attractive to me if I were a newbie. And if I had the choice between getting four+ events a year or one site update I'd chose the latter. While events are fun, it doesn't make me think that this is what CS necessarily needs to keep the site alive and thriving.
I support your idea of advertising CS, but I think there need to be some major changes first. Also - you can already advertise the site by putting one of your pets on the profile of an offsite account. If people like the displayed pet, they will perhaps click on it and get redirected to CS. At least this is how I found this site. I don't know how well payed advertisement would work for CS, though. I also don't support a reward system for referrals, in my opinion it's too easy to exploit such a system.

^^ as much as i want the site to grow, i agree with these guys. its not fair to advertise a site without too many updates. i love cs, but i think we need quality of life updates before we try growing the userbase.

I Agree, since i joined the site Till now i'm writing this we hadn't much features. I'm afraid if the staff no longer develop CS.

I think major updates will definitely benefit the growth of the site!! hopefully it'll be soon
