This has been suggested in the past and is unlikely to happen. Here's a detailed explanation of why from a former moderator.

Yeah, pretty much. I imagine it won’t produce as much lag as it would in the pound, since hundreds of users are trying to access it at one time, but it still might create lag issues if a certain user (for example) has a large collection of pets that will need to be cross-checked. There’s also not much point since we have wishlists ^^
