[urgent] this site really is actually dying

i agree with a lot of the people here, as someone who played animal jam as a kid back in its peak it feels a lot like that; when you have a game where trading is a big part of it, eventually it gets so that the rarer things from years ago can become unobtainable and when you're a new player it can be nearly impossible to get any older pets by just playing the game normally. and once trading becomes a big thing a community can really start to fizzle out and as time goes on people get less interested in talking with others and more interested in just trading, and it's a bit sad but who knows what you could do to fix it

omg i remember animal jam lmao i got scammed out of a really valuable spiked collar and 2 headdresses and i havent even touched the game sense

animal jam was amazing until it had a breach, i cant get into my account anymore at all and no longer know what my parent details were its been many years. i used to spend every day on it.

The demographic for ChickenSmoothie is geared towards a younger audience, which is completely fine but the said younger audience just isn't interested in an older site like this.

My suggestion, is I'd love to have a more geared towards an older audience ChickenSmoothie site, like a second version of it just like how AnimalJam and Fer.al were. However, that is a lot to ask for coming from a site like this; it's wishful thinking lol.

That seems like a good idea, even though I’m a bit on the newer side (joined in 2019 and never touched this site ever again until 2022), i’d be hype for smth like that. Although…..Animal Jam and Fer.al are not the best examples imho seeing as how everything happened to them, if you know what happened then you know what I’m talking about. Yikes.
Let’s just hope if they ever make a different place for older players to be on, they don’t go down the same path that Wildworks has. Yk?

Definitely not the best example but you got what I was trying to explain. I don't know of any other "children's" games that have done this.

I definitely think its the trading and some players, I just came back a few months ago after not truly playing for a few years so I forgot list pets were a thing, people were so rude when I would trade them because I didn’t understand. I thought my 2009 VR was rarer then a 2015 VR but nope! I kept on getting yelled at by players and they didn’t even tell me what was wrong with it ! Very unmotivating to keep going when theres so much problems with trading people :c

Honestly i agree, i was yelled at by players when i first joined about 3 years ago. I always try to be nice and say "sorry nty ^^" whenever i get a trade that's unfair or just one i don't really like ^^. But it's almost impossible to get pets that have value, I mostly have to rely on december 18th now but still then it's really hard to get good pets

Fer.al went from good to bad. its a shame it had amazing potential then dropped due to another project and probably for money instead of tending to the community and the staff alike who sadly also left due to the situation.

this is also difficult as a young adult myself, i cant really say or do much without stepping over some line of sorts...
