if i'm being completely honest, this site does NOT bring in any revenue to tess and nick. ALSO all the suggestions y'all have in that spreadsheet are like, WILD to program. also gotta remember that tess and nick are ADULTS and have lives outside of cs. it's their site, if they want to keep it, they can. they don't have to sell it... a few suggestions i see are good, i think they should rework the pound so that the valuable pets are scattered throughout the opening and is not a competition on who has the best internet speed.
i feel like this thread should be locked tbh - it's causing a lot of mayhem and DEFINITELY straying off topic. and a misleading title LOL.
people are leaving cs because they have GROWN UP and have lives. i joined almost 12 years ago. i'm an adult now. i'm rarely active besides pet trading, but this site is chill.
not everyone is leaving CS because they have grown up. me and my friends all quickly became soured on the site around when the hackings happened, and had already been losing interest in the site since a little before then as well due to how it's being run. we are adults, and were already thoroughly enjoying the game as adults. also, i have not seen any mayhem in this thread /gen, to me it just looks like a discussion. people are discussing ways the site can be improved, and reasons why they personally have been losing interest. locking this thread would be redundant, in my opinion, and just shutting down a necessary discussion.

im not trying to start a "diss nick and tess movement" guys. i just want to address that our suggestions cannot be implemented without strong leadership to make this site active again

im not trying to be harsh in my wording.

we're aware all of these requests may not get touched even and if they do it'll be a while until they're fully implemented!
this threads title is a little misleading but it was always for discussing improvements that the site could use.
to say nothing we say matters is a bit unfair as multiple mods have already responded to this thread alone and we have a list being made just for reference point on the sites updating! this is not us demanding that nick does all of these asap, just an easy and manageable way to see what the community is talking about.

i know that the mods have been responding but there are limits to what they can do. they do not speak officially for the site. those are all personal opinions. official responses would have to be cleared with the higher ups. i have seen threads like this pop up and die with no "official response" or changes MANY times. thats where my glass half empty attitude is coming from not because im trying to disagree just for fun.
i totally understand where you're coming from in that regard but i think it's better to at least still be talking about it rather than just surmising it to a "we can't do anything anyways" sort of take on the matter. obviously some things are being updated (security, summer events) so its possible!
im happy the community continues bringing up topics like this instead of giving up on the site. obviously it's going to be hard to actually get owners to pay attention to our discussion but its always worth trying imo !

^^ you cannot blame people leaving solely on the fact that they're growing up lol. there are def kids leaving the site BECAUSE of things we mentioned.

Referring to the higher ups not being very active!
Perhaps it could be passed onto any current modmins that express theg want to take over and dont have a full time job or anything? Ive been seeing a lot of people saying that Tess and Nick just dont seem to be very active which is understandable, so why not pass it onto someone who has more time? Or possibly even a well respected user? Though that may not be the best idea hmmm.... id like to hear others opinion on this but im going to sleep soon so uh yeah
Not trying to be rude to either of them because they have their own lives- but if they cant provide what the users want, wouldnt it be a good idea to change hands? /genq sorry jf this comes off rude its late and im doing my best

Maybe the odds could be increased a little? Or add another ‘secret’ pet? (Just throwing out ideas)
Luaii wrote:This is still a thing! I don't know the exact chance, but I did see someone get a zebra just a couple months ago.
Good to know! thank you for telling me ^^ Another secret pet or a rotating cast of them could be a nice way to try distribute more valuable pets to newer players.

I dont agree on locking this thread - the "mayhem" suggested may be because this thread is so fast and on the main page so often that there's SO many different members and their opinions.
I do agree maybe on changing the title. I think this is more of a discussion on improving the site community and engagement, but then again that's why we're discussing this all - to find strategies for members to not want to quit. To figure these strategies out, we have to understand the reasoning behind a lot of people wanting to quit and why they would be upset enough to want to quit.

Agree. There are plenty of adults who play 'childrens' games and the popularity of a game like FlightRising proves that adults are interested in online 'pet' games still.
The fact that this thread has blown up even though it was posted only 7 hours ago shows that this is a common attitude of dissatisfaction among the users on CS. People WANT to talk about this and are clearly passionate about CS still. Silencing that discussion by locking the thread isn't helpful.

LokisTrick wrote:This will either age me or make me look dumb if it's still a thing but remember the original way you got A Zebra? when I joined there was something like a 0.003% chance (don't quote me this was years ago) every time you adopted a horse that you could receive a zebra randomly. I always thought this was a cool way to incorporate a chance to get an OMG so rare pet into a monthly adoption. maybe something like this could be re-introduced?
I was just thinking of this again last week! Is that not still a thing? I remember it being a really cute incentive to the people who didn't like horses as much to still adopt them. Would love something like this to come back if its gone!
