Provide more ways to spend c$

I agree. I joined in 2019, but I have a hard time even obtaining C$, unless I purchase them myself. I'm trying to collect every bat, bunny/rabbit and store pets! I'm making progress, but I've had to overpay big time even if the pet(s) weren't "ex" list pets, on top of that there is never any new items in the C$. I understand that CS is more leaned towards pets than items, but.... maybe like once or twice a year, CS could put past store pets in the C$ shop, as its extremely hard to find most old pets from like 2008-2010 even after 2010 it can be hard to find pets.

I disagree with the re-releasing store pets. It would be easier to trade for them, but they wouldn’t be as valuable anymore. People could buy hundreds of list store pets. That would possibly lead to the rarities going to OMGSR to rare. It would be very annoying to people who spend months, or even years, saving up and trading for a very valuable store pet.
If they where to re-release store pets, I think they would most likely be recent stores. Even then, the cs staff would revive TONS of backlash. It would probably just be really frustrating. It’s a cool idea, but it has too many cons.

I think cs relies on user made shops ( pets for c$, art shops, etc. )
So it would be nice to see more ways to spend c$! I would personally be very interested in seeing new store items come out once in a while. I’m not sure what else they could do, so I’ll definitely go look at some other ideas In this thread!

That is true. But I dont see a whole lot of 2010 store pets on active user accounts, unless I am just having bad luck finding certain pets lol

Tess has stated that C$ store pets will never be re-released :+D she said they do not count as a “full collection” which is why people have been discussing putting store pets into a sep archive to distinguish them from monthly releases! not sure if this was discussed on here or on the demand thread.
but, no matter how much we discuss it, they will not re-release them. that’s not fair to those who own them, and not fair to the users who spent money to buy pets with the label of “these are special and will never be released again”

I'm not arguing for the re-release of store pets, but the exact same thing can be said about the Dec. 18th box already. But they're re-released in such small amounts that it doesn't impact the rarity.

as an item collector i would love to have more store items!!
as long as we still get the same amount of free items through events. i remember one of my old favorite games transformice randomly stopped giving out free event clothes and instead switched everything to be bought in shop.

i think retirement of items is much needed as well. many people with c$ would have already bought what they want from the store by now, and considering that the amount of c$ in the economy grows each day, the value of it has tanked. most people just use it to buy the store pets now, as many of the store items already have large amounts out there for trade. some of these items have been in the store for over 10 years by now, vs the store pets which cycle bimonthly. while they don't have to change as frequently as the store pets, retirement of items is needed. this would go hand in hand with adding new items to the store as well in order to increase the amount of people using C$ on the store as intended.

also in terms of the store pets rerelease debate: ultimately it wouldn't be the same as dec 18th if you actively get to pick which ones you want and how many. even if it was limited to only one pet per type, it's too directly controlled. the dec 18th box is random chance, including hundreds of different pets that have been released over the years.

Yes there are many items that I think could be retired which gives openings to new items.
Having monthly items separate from store pets would be really nice. Especially if they were staggered drops.

Would it be possible to have some way to pay C$ in order to keep a pet's viewing/dressup page at a certain stage of growth? I'd spend tons of C$ on that if it's possible
