Sorry if anyone said this but I've noticed the only time CS comes alive is during Dec 18. For a couple days at best. That's it.

Dec 18 seemed a lot less active this year than last year.. I saw many claim that they only come on during Dec 18 in the forums as well which is pretty sad.I like trading but it’s only extremely active during the time most trades sent will be scammers which is a pain.

I thought I was the only one that noticed that. The site used to lag and even crash when Dec 18 rolled around.

as someone who was gone for a few months and takes hiatus' often from this site, it is true that i came on for dec. 18th, however i've definitely seen people who did the same as me stick around just bc they remember how much they like this website. that's how i am, i'm active for the first time in months because i realized how much i missed and i want to catch up. although there are definitely still people who only come on for dec. 18th tho. i have noticed that it is less active but i really hope it speeds back up someday because i would be devastated if this site ever shut down

The notice in lack of people sticking around was definitely not an "everyone does this" thing, but more of a "more people are doing this" thing.

More people besides me (thank god) are realizing that less and less people are around. Even during peak times such as events and the big Dec 18.

it is really sad though like we've discussed, after missing countless events over the years just due to life and other reasons, it is nearly impossible to get event pets after the fact. i find myself just giving up on getting event pets from years past because i know that no one will want to trade me for them. i feel like the only luck i have with trading is with pets from the current year or trading bulk items for pets. since i don't have a wide variety of rare pets up for trade, i get nothing in return for trades. i've also noticed that sometimes when i post in forums it gets over looked, especially in the "is this a fair trade" thread. i do understand that many people post on that thread, but as someone who isn't completely knowledgeable about the trade system, with the nons and the three month rule etc, or item values, i really rely on second opinions and i just never receive them. it's really sad, especially knowing that if it were a few years ago, someone would have helped me. apologies for this rant i just haven't seen anyone else talking about their frustrations or disappointments with the site.

It's because we can't exactly discuss our disappointment and frustrations with this site. It's considered ranting, and that isn't allowed.

If it was allowed, somewhere that we can just let off steam, I think it would be beneficial.

Editing: to make it clear, if mods aren't going to fix anything and only suggest third party fixes, at least let us vent about it?

a lot of formerly interesting threads have also died in recent years since "debates" are shut down instantly.

i'm not saying people should be allowed to actually fight here in public, but the drop in activity is very, very noticeable on that end too.

^ yeah i totally agree. there would definitely be some pointless complaints, or people using it to just talk about their own personal issues with not getting pets or whatever but i definitely think if we had some place to express the changes we want, it would help the site. it shouldn't be discouraged to discuss what we think would help the site especially as loyal users who have been here for years and just want to help improve it.
