Change Trade Reversal Process

I would additionally like to add a reminder that in regards to the previous threads, they were locked because they were becoming increasingly off-topic or did not belong at all in the boards they were posted in. Please remember that not all staff are involved in everything that happens on this site. Any tickets sent in will be responded to by the appropriate staff, as well as any announcements. In the meantime we still need to ensure the forum rules are being followed and sometimes that means locking threads that are getting off-topic, that does not mean the greater issue will not still be addressed by the appropriate staff.

I saw someone in the original thread talk about how when there was an issue with stolen pets, they were able to take the pets from the pounds group of pets? I’m not sure if this was confirmed but I think that’s a great way to do it.

I’ve also seen duplicating pets being an idea thrown around, I think in mass situations like this that may disrupt the trading market but (as someone else said) no more than an old player coming back to their account, and may be worth it to avoid all the chaos caused from the recent reversals.

Anyways I support anything^^ the current way is just. Not good and has caused so much stress for everyone, staff, users, probably the person that’s come back to their account because now everyone knows their name and such :/ (and I have so much respect and support for the staff that have been handling this and helping us here, I hope no one’s getting treated badly because of this)

i do not really think duplicating the pets will disrupt the trading market. since the hacker brought in inactive pets and made them circulate again, and this went on for about a month, duplication would just be compensation to those who had trades reversed. the pets that have been reversed are going to rot on dead accounts again, so what difference does it make yk?

Exactly my thinking as well. The pets I got that were taken from the pound to be restored from their previous owner have not disrupted the market, I haven't seen any crazy things about the tinsel lion or an 09 rare. Not only that, but in said traders group, they still have 224 rare+ pets, many omgsrs INCLUDING a liontail store pet [given to them by a site admin!]

It's all very possible. You can tell that for an 09 pet, it's ID is much longer, so it's a pet from the pound or whatever source that was given a new ID.
Also I hope it's fine to mention Admins by name in this case, as they are clearly the only ones doing the reversals, and there are only a few. If not I will edit to remove the name, but I mean there are hardly a handful of admins so its not like it could be just any other staff member.

We understand this is frustrating for all parties involved but unfortunately there is no easy solution for this. Generating pets and items and C$ to simply replace what's lost will only open doors for explotation so this can only be done for specific and rare situations and won't be the standard procedure for anything that was lost.

If your balance went into the negatives because of a reverse it means you traded the C$ away, so you are holding the equivalent of the lost C$ in pets or items instead. Again, we understand this isn't ideal but if you are unhappy with that situation you can submit a help ticket and we'll see what we can suggest for you.
