Suggestion: Pings avaliable on CS? 400+ SUPPORT!

Yeah you could, but it's hard to find everyone who writes out the name as opposed to a little message saying someone has replied. I've had a bunch of times where I totally didn't see what someone said. I was hoping to curb this a bit.

I completely support this for multiple reasons. Often I end up posting on a thread, then forget I posted and find out that people tried to talk to me when it's too late to respond. If we had pings, I could just get a notification that would say "{username here} has pinged you." as a title and then something like "Subject: {title of thread here} with the quotes message below." You could be able to disable or enable ping notifications like you can with trade notifications. People already do @username to talk to people, pinging would just let them know someone's trying to talk to them. And then the visual others would get would just be like...

Now most sites just let you do @username and it does the rest (the @ enables it as a ping I believe), but some have a specific coding for like we do for quotes. I'd image it would be something like @[ping=profilehere]username[/ping] or something...that's really up to the coders of the site.

But yeah, I support this idea 110%. It would be so useful to have on the site.

Same system, just @ who you want to talk to, and to get notifications what they do is have a little closeable tool bar to the side. When closed it's a circle and doesn't get in the way.
It appears in my mobile and desktop versions.
When someones pings you, there's a purple @ symbol inside.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work too well or maybe the admins wouldn't be up to do the coding for that but they could force pop up notifications so that people on mobile also knkw
