I don't think that there would be a reliable way to quantify item rarities since they don't have unique ID's associated with them.

I would imagine that the system counting up items is still possible; you just can't differentiate copies of items for trades, but the system ought to know how many items of an item ID exist... I've only ever seen the "unique item IDs" thing applied to "trades can't be autocanceled when items get traded away"

i was pleasantly surprised when i opened up CS & saw the mid-month update posted!
i think this is a huge step for CS and i hope we continue to see these improvements, while this thread was quite rocky for a while it seems it's been working out & inducing positive change around here.

i do want to say.. is there any possibility of getting a more dedicated thread for staff to speak with users on? this thread has worked, but i think at this point most discussion that relates to this topic's original purpose exclusively has ended. my apologies if there is one already and i did not realize though!

i really wish they'd say which pets were updated. or at least a log that noted which pets changed from rare to very rare, very rare to omg so rare, or even down-grades. idk how to word it, but i don't wanna go through like the archives to see which pets were changed. excited to see the site moving forward and adding some very good updates! (though, i don't see the point for the recent oekaki board but that's just me hah)

Oof, this stung a little to read haha. CS has had a pretty decent record of rarity changes since early 2010; the most recent thread is here and an archive of rarity updates is kept here. There's also the Guide to CS Rarities which records all rarity changes VR, OMGSR, and store pets have gone through in their lifetimes.

YES the mid-month update is here, this is awesome! Thank you staff for keeping us up to date <3 I love that we got both a list of changes that have already happened as well as a list of ones that are in progress! Also, the dress-up challenge feature is super neat! I sometimes forget that dressup challenges exist, so this is a great way to be reminded to check them out every once in a while. But my favourite part has to be the update log:

-Additionally, we are also working on a detailed thread logging all site updates. This will allow users to keep track of the changes that we have made (and will continue to make) to the site moving forward!

AAH my prayers have been answered, this is amazing. I'm incredibly happy that this is happening, it'll be super helpful with keeping track of what's been happening.

I am so happy, reading the update has actually brought so much excitement to me! It’s strange because I expected to be happy about the updates to come and such, but I didn’t expect to be this excited over it. xD

Seeing the staff pets and Halloween event mentioned made me remember, “oh yeah, that’s a thing!” Same start getting excited for them. The new things that have happened have been so cool as well, such as mod applications opening, and a new Oekaki board! So awesome to see.

i agree to an extent with the idea, but selling the site? i'm not so sure. a lot of the times when sites are sold for the same reason that you are suggesting cs be sold, the sites end up going even further downhill under new ownership.

If you read the front page, it goes in to more detail and specifies selling would be the absolute last option.

i know. i was just putting in my two cents on it. i just really don't think it should be an option at all, haha. too much could go wrong

It worked because they know it’s true especially with the newest update I think if it’s anything to do with chick paint you shouldn’t be prevented from posting that’s how species die and I’m actually debating on moving mine to insta.
