im glad these threads are more active in recent months,, it seems the only way site changes are made are from threads like this, and enough cs player support, to cause enough of a ripple effect that the staff finally look into the issues at hand ^^;

That’s my biggest fear, that the site shuts down due to lack of activity, there are so many ways to help it, I really hope that doesn’t happen

I did this for a vent but it definitely applies. (this is for 2018 pets, current rares are even higher because each added year is 2^x)

i once saw that calculation on someones trade rules, it was the first time seeing it and the shocking part is that they were genuine. no one ever stops to ask why this png of a bunny is truly worth half a billion other pngs.

I also personally prefer the look of newer pets, I love the newer artists that joined the team in the last few years. I trade based on how much I like the design of a pet, so it was jarring to get multiple trades from DIFFERENT people, asking for dozen on top dozen of rares+extra rare pets for a singular older pet of theirs.
i hope the staff actually read all of this, at the very least to be aware people care and want to see a change.

So, what can we do as players to advocate for some of these changes? Would a petition work? A blackout? What's the best way to go about this? Staff does need to listen to us more, but we also don't want to cause problems for them.

I really think the main issue I've had with the site for a while is how beginner unfriendly trading can be. Like people have said with not understanding the concept of MA's or list pets, it's all just set up in a really weird way. Even after almost 6 years of playing, I still don't understand most of it.
In order to understand trading, you have to be experienced which can cause unpleasant encounters for new traders if they have a poor grasp on worth.

I kind of take issue with being encouraged to go off of worth 'guides' when there's so many factors that go into trading. Not to mention all the different guides, which makes everything confusing and messy when you're getting different advice from different people. Every player has a different pair of eyes and may not value a certain pet the same way others do. With appearance particularly.

I don't have an issue with the existence of guides themselves, but rather the people who treat them like gospel, despite being completely unofficial.

When it comes down to the fairness of a trade, I think it can be subjective. Maybe you would accept 40 rare horses from 2009 in exchange for one very rare dog, but another person probably wouldn't. It's fair to the first person, but unfair to the other, because they both perceive the trade differently with their own interests in mind. And when it comes down to that, the guides mean nothing.

I don't think any of that made sense but that's how I see it lol.

The best course of action that I've found is to use an ad-blocker and to refrain from buying c$, without money the site can't really do much. WE make running the site possible in the first place.

this is why i pointed out how frustrating & helpless it feels on here.

when threads like this get traction it always ends up being locked and swept under the rug.
when there's a mass quitting, nothing happens.
we we ask politely for change, nothing happens.

it's why i have no expectations for this sites health anymore. just a little hope that there's still some love left

I'm frustrated though that the threads just... get closed. The censorship is a bit... extreme?
