Support! Censoring them on the archives and in peoples pet groups would be good. I have no phobias of pet species here on CS, but I do feel for users that do!
Images of triggering species should be able to be censored.
-- Or possibly replaced? That way users can still obtain the pets [via trades or Dec 18th boxes] that might be high value [like the bumblebee spider] and trade them, without ever having to look at them. [Users with this on can consult peers or staff as to the name of the pet, and can then ask about value in their respective threads.]
There should be options on group settings to not allow offers of certain pet species.
-- Even with normal trades, it can help to prevent users from offering species you many not want for your specific pets.

Full support! It would be nice if users could choose to replace the images of a specific pet or species imo. I personally cannot handle snails, which isn't it's own pet category so if I could replace the image of these pets in particular it would be really nice! Since it's not a whole species though this rarely ever bugs me, I feel for the users with more common phobias. Obviously don't replace with whatever image the user decides but just a default censor image or even just a white block I feel would be fine.

Forgot to post this here (eek) but using an
earlier comment on this thread I made a
guide on how to censor pet species + lists for things like spiders and snakes that I'll be updating monthly for easy blocking.
I support this suggestion! But I've been using this method as a current work-around :3. I hope posting this here can help someone

For you (and anyone reading this) I'm MORE then happy to pm personalized lists, or go through any of the steps one on one, without my example post (unfortunately RIDDLED with frogs)
My goal is to help everyone use the site as comfortably as possible. i can block items but cant guarantee they'll work in every scenario
edit: theres now a link at the top of my forum post that directs to a frog-free version
here for anyone else with frog related phobias

I fully support this suggestion! You never know what species or specific pet design might squick someone, so people having the ability onsite to hide images would be really helpful and make it more accessible. I don't personally have any problems, but I know it's pretty common for people not to like spiders and one or two horror designs have wigged my partner out, just as examples.
