... Tax?
Like put a lil 1% tax on c$ transactions, to slowly take more out of circulation

You say that you love me,
And I write it all down
So when you're gone I'll remember.
But as I get old I find,
I can't trust my own mind
And your words all break down into laughter...

I'm a newer returning player so I don't have much skin in the game, but I agree. I gave away all of my valuable pets before leaving and it shocked me to return and realize how much they're worth in C$ now. Some pets feel very, very unattainable if you're starting with nothing - which I understand, it's a game and you're intended to build up - but I do wish there were more opportunities to level the playing field. An extra re-release day would be nice.

I will say inflation is a problem on so many pet sites and there seems to be no easy solution that'll make everyone happy.

I love the idea of a random store pet box in the C$ shop. But I understand how horrific and unfair that would feel if you spent many hundreds in real dollars buying C$ to build up your store collection.

with all respect - i heavily heavily disagree with this standpoint. i think it is staff's job to "fix it", realistically Tess and Nick. ive tried to push and gather information on where Nick stands with these suggestions, but i was told an answer would not be provided and my discussion where I did actively update - was locked and shut down.

chicken smoothie is also a website that caters to children. i think it is unrealistic in the sense of a child to be able to comprehend cs inflation and be able to coherently come up and organize a solution. ive also said before i think it is the job of staff to read through suggestions, which i know you all do, but then build up better proposals yourselves. if anyone knows best about how the site works and what can be implemented, its staff. even if a meeting happens, im sure you all would be capable of reading through this post, and gathering the main points the community brings up.

i feel as if these issues can be resolved by Tess and Nick but overall we have radio silence. many users still support old suggestions that have been active for a decade and have received no changes or word on them. i appreciate Simon's work with quickly implementing changes or actually providing feedback if something can or cannot happen. i feel that it should not be expected of users to put in this level of effort when Tess and Nick have not done the same.

Boosting––I strongly agree with clayflower here.

Without knowing most of what happens behind the scenes, including the feasibility of implementing supply and demand balancing changes, information on the actual numerical rarity of pets in circulation (from what I understand, we had information about this a few years ago but it hasn't been updated), coding constraints, etc. it's very challenging to form a comprehensive, singular user-supported suggestion. I would hesitate to put in the work of creating this kind of proposal without knowing if it is actually possible to implement or will even be viewed and considered.

Additionally, I would love for there to be more transparency about where c$ and ad revenue go and how it is utilized (I understand this includes, of course, domain costs and compensation for maintenance labor hours). This would also help users understand the financial capacity for solution proposals. Any word on this from Tess and Nick would be great, and I think really meaningful to the userbase!

I agree with also needing transparency on where c$ is going!

There is a suggestion asking for c$ transparency here under the "Address the pound lag + C$ sales transparency":

Forum/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=4931209

Edit: Adding this on from earlier pages because it's still important for newer people seeing this thread to see what the actual numbers are to achieve things!

not exactly what you were asking for, but to buy the top 20 most valuable pets (according to Horror's guide) at the lowest possible guide price is 169000C$, or an equivalent of what is currently £7009.05 or $8894.73 (USD): Forum/viewtopic.php?f=135&t=4899188
adding the next 62 pets, or every pet above 1non/10MA in value, adds another 173000C$, or £7174.95/$9105.27

so the top 82 most valuable pets are worth 18000USD or 14184GBP

edit: actually i'm just gonna calculate it all, hold on

combined, every TD pet above 1MA should be a total of about 2277.5MA
every pet above 0.5MA (seemed like a fair cutoff) is 2,389.75MA.

to get every pet above 0.5MA, you need to spend 716,925C$ (valuing 1MA at 300C$). this is the equivalent of just under 1887 20USD/£15.76 380C$ purchases. you have to spend at least 37,740USD or 29,739.12GBP to buy every pet above 0.5MA on CS

{ I've only read back about a page so I won't try to comment on most of the recent discussion, though I also would like at least some transparency on the C$ funds. ♡
{ I just want to say the inflation still feels out of control, perhaps even worse now. I don't know that I like the price of store pets being increased, since as mentioned a page or two ago, people are either simply buying more C$ in response, or they have to fight even harder to get enough C$ for even one pet. I like the rotating and permanent items as an answer for the inflation, though I can't say whether that's helping. as a user who isn't really active these days, even missing more uncommon monthly outcomes can be hell if you're not holding C$. most of my catching up has been spending C$. it's just interesting how the trade scene has changed so much over the years, in general-- used to be I'd buy my 360C$ and it lasted all year, since I could just trade with pets for what I wanted back then. that's not really feasible in a lot of cases now. ♡
{ anyway, not to be a cringe Fortnite gamer on main [/silly], but they're also in the middle of dealing with the exclusive cosmetics issue. while it's unclear whether they plan to bring back old cosmetics that are currently locked behind retired subscriptions, they've had some "errors" where these cosmetics ended up available for purchase. people who bought them could keep them, and those who owned the original versions were given essentially recolors as compensation. I know this thread has discussed releasing recolors of old store pets, but either one could be beneficial. plus having an exclusive version would give people something else to try and obtain [and perhaps lower the overall demand value for the original]. there's definitely issues with this as well, but I think most people have been happy with this solution, at least from what I've seen in my circle of the FN community. they're also no longer making the subscription cosmetics exclusive, as they have a disclaimer that items may be available to buy normally later. CS could also do something like this-- perhaps using C$ for a subscription means you get early access to store pets, or you can buy them at a discount, or you get something exclusive along with it. I'm still 100% on board for a C$-purchased subscription, by the way. I would love that. ♡
