I don't want to offend anyone but they're just cute pixels, why pay a million dollars for that? /ᐠ ╥ ˕ ╥マ

Lately one thing has become crystal clear to me: That CS has become more of a BUSINESS than a fun site to collect pets and chat. The way a lot of people with higher value pets seem to operate, it seems they hardly trade for pets they WANT and instead are trading for pets they can turn a profit with. Don't get me wrong, we all want to be able to get rare, valuable pets but people forgot this is supposed to be FUN. Where is the fun in trading for pets just to immediately flip them and squeeze every last bit of value of them?

It definitely is becoming extremely new user unfriendly and that goes triply so for kid users. The changes to the pound didn't help either. With the heavily reduced rares, it's now or 4 or 5x as hard to get a rare from the pound. It seems new users are just about plum out of luck unless they either have TONS of time to be on here and can catch every pound, enter every raffle/giveaway and always be one of the first when someone posts they're quitting and giving stuff away. OR if they maintain a flightrising account that they've built up quite a bit to trade treasure/gems for pets. But that's a whooooole nother thing I'm not getting into.

One thing we can do as users is just refuse to pay the prices people are selling pets for. If we refuse to pay 8 Nons+/16,000 chicken dollars for a raven dog, then they can't sell it for that much.Pets are only at these out of control prices because too many people agreed to pay them. If enough people put their foot down, eventually the "tycoons" will be forced to trade/sell for less. It certainly wouldn't be easy nor would it be quick but it's probably the best way to settle the CS economy.

There is power in the people.

Facts

And with this, I wonder if it's possible to remove C$ at least from trades. I know the CS team needs money, and the pets in the shop are perfect for that, but allowing players to buy and sell with C$ makes things very complicated

Reading a lot of the stuff in this thread and its just like.. Wow. I have been playing for awhile, and even I HEAVILY agree that older pets and stores NEED to be released more. Dec 18th is great, and I have been so so lucky to be able to get URs from it that I used to trade for pets I really wanted, but what about people who don't get that kind of luck? For so long on this site I have felt like since I didn't start playing the first few years it existed, that I would never even get an OMGSR because of how ABSURDLY expensive they are.

It is to a point, where I don't like trading much, because of just how some people really are with the values of pets. Like, okay, I'm sorry I didn't know this random pet was actually worth like 80$ or whatever. I'd rather trade my one UR up for trade for FR currency because atleast then I feel like I am getting somewhere on FR. I just mainly adopt monthly pets, trade those, do events, and wait for Dec 18th to see if I will get lucky enough again to get things to help me get what I want.

And, I don't mean to sound harsh when I say this, but I truly could care less what the hoarders and rare chasers want to say about re-releasing older pets. Not everyone wants to sit here and play for as long as years just for a CHANCE to get a pet they like. Sometimes, people don't care about the rarity, they care about how it looks! I am one of those! I just think some of these pets are really pretty, really cool, and I just want to get to look at them, dress them up, enjoy them! I don't care that they are some super duper old expensive pet. I just care that they are what I'd want in a pet.

I remember reading somewhere once that apparently, years ago when the skelebun was released, people literally deleted theirs to artificially raise the value of it, and it sure worked! Even if you're using FR currency to trade for it, people still want at least 80k gems for it. That is literally HUNDREDS of dollars. The most amount of gems you can buy at once is 11,500 for 100$. And, yes, I know I have my Orange Tree up for 15k gems, but atleast I can compromise. Some people want just pure gems.

I used to buy C$ because I do want to support the site, but you get so little C$ for your money. Only 80 C$ for 5$?? With how people are with trading, that won't even last you very long. I had someone ask for 20 C$ for a rare from 2017. It just feels crazy to me. I don't even try trading for rares much anymore because of it. I'd rather just trade monthlies to get all of them, wait for the next month, rinse, repeat..

The current stores are honestly really good, they stay around long enough for you to get C$ to buy them, and the bundles including an extra little pet is a very nice touch imo. But like someone said earlier in the thread, a raven dog selling for 16k C$, and that being the equivalent of 1,000$, is insane. Just literally insane. That is RENT MONEY. And it is being spent on A VIRTUAL PET. PIXELS ON A SCREEN!!! NEVER should something like that be able to happen. I really think the awful CS economy is what is gonna drive this site into the ground eventually. You can't get anything good if you don't already have anything good, or if you haven't played since the first few years, or if you don't spend all your time grinding and trading and doing as much as you possibly can. It just isn't fun. It feels like the only people who can trade and enjoy it are those who are already sitting on hundreds of dollars worth of pets. Who have the insane amounts of money to spend. Kids and newbies are so stuck unless people are nice enough to them.

Just please re-release these older pets more often. Give us more C$ for our money. If stores are really that much of a problem, then just do it once a year. But give us something.

It would seem the amount of chicken dollars we get for the money has actually gone DOWN. I can see in 2015 where I bought $200 chicken dollars and then less than 2 years later in 2017 I bought 180 chicken dollars. And mind you all the store pet sets used to only be 60 or 70 chicken dollars back then.

That just don't seem right.

totally valid to critique this choice so I’m not trying to speak over that, but I did want to note that store pets’ prices going up is part of the ongoing effort to combat c$ inflation. like with all the massive pools of thousands of c$ floating around, doing things like raising store pet prices and creating more store item sets is engineered to create more “sinks” to soak up the overabundance of c$.

I'm pretty sure I did the math one time, and you could buy a used car in the U.S. for the price that you'd pay for the first four tiers of pets on Horror's list, if you were able to buy them at the mid-range price. I think it was something like $11- or 12,000.

And that's not including all of the old and valuable store pets.

I'd love to see someone add up the entirety of the valuable pets and convert it into a real-world currency. I guarantee it'd be astronomical - and I'm curious if it's enough to buy a small house with. XD
