While I agree there's an alarming lack of communication or solutions, I doubt selling the site is the answer. As some people have already mentioned, there's no guarantee new owners would be any better - if anything, a new party purchasing this site during a turbulent time would likely come in with profit as their only goal, which might lead to far worse results long term than we're seeing now. Profit based website management ruins the user experience, as we've seen with much bigger ownership trade offs like the infamous tumblr crash, the current mess going on with Twitter, and many others.

Also, this might be the adult in me, but I feel like 'sell the site!!' as a rallying cry isn't particularly helpful so much as a way of venting frustration. It's not going to change anything, especially not if people are still buying store pets and item sets. The thing that makes site owners respond the fastest is money. If you want to see action, I'd be more interested in how fast an announcement went up if their player base, oh, I don't know, boycotted purchasing C$ entirely until the issue was solved.

I agree with this. Refrain from buying cs and oh my, ad blockers are starting to look really appealing.

I always advocate for ad blockers. No one is owed revenue from my existence or presence.

HEY EVERYONE CHILL OUT! the decision is honestly the owners whether they sell or give the site away for all we know they might shut us down for a little bit and then start back up besides we have an event coming up and going at one another doesn't help the situation it makes it worse (Please don't attack me) I feel awful that the sites going through this more or less I feel for everyone on here especially the people who made this site possible!

thank you nick for the information! i know we all really do appreciate it even if we're all a bit on edge and up in arms at the moment. i think the best thing is for everyone to stick together and hope for the best and give the staff time to resolve the issues even if this is a very frustrating time.

just sucks that accounts being hacked more frequently is the only way to get your guy's attention to finally implement more security measures to prevent this and add more stuff to the c$ store because of the outrage due to the c$ inflation. wish we could get more frequent updates and new additions to the site without bad stuff happening, just doesn't feel like there's any passion left in this site from the owners.

Respectfully and with no intention of starting a fight, I completely disagree that "all it takes" to keep an account secure is to have a good password, as that has been proven wrong many times on many sites. Also, this game allows players so young they're literally not legally allowed to speak in forums; you cannot expect advanced password creation from 10 year olds.

Again, not saying this to start a fight or be disrespectful, just disagreeing.
