then i notice i’m over -800c$ in debt. no communication on this. no response on if i’m to pay this. i’ve spent hundreds of dollars on c$ just this last december to supplement my c$ to allow me to collect more pets.
i feel as if saying that the trades were reversed and we got back what we paid isn’t fair. the time and effort hasn’t been taken into consideration. the hard to find pets, the back and forth… all gone as if it never mattered. and then to have no answer while the threads are locked just feels like a slap in the face.
I just wanted to say a specific thank you, Moon Gem, for elaborating on your reasons for supporting. I am very sorry that you've gone through this, and wanted to highlight your response because these are important points.

I also experienced some frustration having to re-add pets to my WL that I had checked off as owned. I'm sorry you've gone through that today, and thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I'm especially concerned with the C$ debt that comes with how trade reversals are currently handled. People are now hundreds, some thousands of C$ in debt due to these recent reversals, rendering them unable to use the C$ system indefinitely when they never even did anything wrong in the first place. To get out of that kind of debt requires paying a lot of money (since it's $20 per 380 C$-- the user who's in 4000 C$ of debt for instance would need to pay at least $200 USD if they wanted to buy their way out of it). Again, punishing these users who never did anything wrong in the first place.
I'm also curious about how old some of these original trades are that were just reversed. I think it's even more unfair to revoke pets from people who have had those pets for years at that point, just to suddenly have them gone with no explanation. I understand if an account is compromised that they should be able to get their pets back, but it's also really not fair to the other users to have these really old trades unturned when they were innocent in this situation.
In circumstances like these, the users who have had their trades reversed are, in many ways, victims of the original scammer as well, and I believe they should be compensated for that instead of penalized.

the current trade reversal/c$ debt situation hasn't affected me directly, but the amount of people i've seen lose out on their dreamies or pets that they really want is insane!!! plus it can (and likely has) affect artists who get their payment reversed even after putting so much hard work into their commissions!
i really do hope this situation gets fixed, everyone on here deserves to have an enjoyable time!

im sure the staff don't mean it, but the lack of transparency and communication kinda comes off as a little antagonistic towards the community. especially because in this instance, heaps of people were affected by the trade reversals. i really hope the staff don't keep locking posts like this, we need an open dialogue !! not just for this situation, but for other potential problems in the future. we all wanna keep enjoying this silly little pet game, mods and regular players alike! and being more transparent and open about issues that affect players is a good practice that should be done more often on cs. /gen /nm
inactive for the most part, just come on occasionally to look at pets ^_^

we only had one trade affected, but still lost a rare dreamie because it had been traded back to the user before who we had traded with. thankfully we could get the rest of the trade back, but this whole situation is incredibly disheartening and concerning, especially seeing how disproportionately some others are affected, plus the threads being locked with the lack of broader communication AND the "nothing was really lost" argument when that clearly is not the case in every single situation really feels like a huge slap to the face. we can only imagine what people who put more of their lives into this site than us feel right now
we feel a lot of this situation couldve been avoided with some of the suggestions from this thread, and honestly ANY sort of communication from staff to the larger userbase would have been better than this. literally even a "hey guys, there was an issue w some trades." staff saying "other users cant help, send a help ticket if you have questions " when such a large group was affected is only gonna flood the help tickets (making it take even longer to address) when there could be a copy/paste message to users or a site announcement. it doesnt actually help anyone + it certainly doesnt calm anyone down when theyre watching beloved pets disappear but cant even get anyone to tell them why
but yeah, this situation was not handled well at all in any capacity, + if this happens again in the future there NEEDS to be a better + more transparent system in place that doesnt break up hard earned collections, put people literally thousands of c$ in debt (that they may not be able to retrade for), + cause a mass panic of users not understanding whats happening, all without any announcement. honestly if we were affected as badly as some other users here we would never want to use this site again + would warn others against it, and thats something staff needs to take into consideration when doing something like this

I feel like the debt situation could, at the very least, be solved if, instead of reversed trades involving C$ sending you into the negatives, it just sets you to 0? I saw one response had a mod respond as if C$ were not truly lost throughout all of this, and that it was a fair transaction either way, but putting players into the negatives, especially if they are entirely innocent and are just apart of the domino-effect of the reversals, is not at all a fair transaction. Some of these people would have to pay upwards of 100 USD to get out of the negatives if they intended on paying their way out of it, when neither they nor their customers requested the reversals... It's just really unforgiving and strange to me.
