support. i don't have a very extensive blocklist and only use it as a last resort, which honestly sucks considering the block function barely does anything. if i dislike someone enough to block them, i'd prefer if that meant they would leave me alone.

support. itd actually be nice just to not be able to view eachother at all , just be completely invisible. theres been so many times ill visit a forum and ill see their post still, and it makes me feel anxiety and upset over what happened all over again. i feel like the block button could do so much more but it really doesnt

A bit of background, though, for those who are wondering why the block button is the way it is right now: CS's forums use phpBB. The friends list as well as the block list (previously named the foes list, which is the default name) are both features that came with phpBB, and Nick made modifications to the code to extend both so that they also affect the CS trading system.

But yes, more functionality is needed!

i've accidentally interacted with people who blocked me because i didn't know i was blocked. it's embarrassing

support. if i block someone they shouldn’t be able to interact with me at all, let alone reply to my posts.

I've now made it so that unless you've opted in to allowing players on your block list to interact with you (by changing your settings to allow blocked players to send you private messages) they can no longer view your profile page or post in your topics.

Players on your block list will still be able to post in your topics in the General section of the forum, or in Chicken Smoothie Discussion, since these tend to be more open discussion topics rather than a topic that a single player owns for themselves, but this could be tweaked. They won't be able to post on your Oekaki, Roleplays or trade threads.

I won't add the ability to block people from viewing your posts, because this would be pretending to offer something that we can't actually achieve, since somebody could always just log out from the site and view your posts/pets/etc anyway.
