I voted other because I don't want this feature personally but I'm also not opposed to it if there's an easy way to opt out of it (like I do on Discord so I'm not pinged in servers) or if there's a requirement in order to mention others, such as the account being a certain age already (like how accounts need to be a certain age to adopt on December 18th) because mentions can very easily turn into a major issue on websites. Every site I'm on that has mentions have bad actors who it as a way to spam people with scams, fraudulent raffles, and links with malware; and it's only been growing more prominent on those sites as times goes on. While CS moderation is amazing, and I'm positive they'd deal with any posts abusing the the feature quickly, mentions are a very easy way for scammers to attract the attention of a lot of people in one swoop so it only takes a post being up a couple seconds if the person mentioned is online when it's made for them to see it.

Anyway tl;dr because I know I typed a paragraph: it's not a feature I want personally but also not opposed to it being added as long as there's some sort of security measure in place.

i think this is a good idea in theory but unfortunately feels unlikely with how crunchy the rest of cs is x_x it's a feature the site needs to catch up with other petsites because it shouldnt be so hard to keep up with people on cs

eta: it's also feeling pretty depressing just how LONG people have been asking for this feature (amongst others) with nothing from staff... i really hope they catch up with the times sometime soon.
