Oh, I've actually wanted this myself. Since some pets on my wishlist are just for the sake of completion, whereas some are pets I actually want.

I also strongly request an item version of this, if it's implemented. Currently I have all on one wishlist items I don't have and actually want, items I don't have and probably will never use but want for completion purposes, and items I have but want more of because I find them highly usable. Being able to distinguish those would be awesome.

Also, as a secondary suggestion... How about a little number counter under the "you own this," or a parenthesized number beside it? It would be nice to immediately see how many of something you have, especially if you want multiples but the pet is in a mixed group and not a dedicated hoard, or if it's an item and you can't segregate items you want many of into their own group for easy counting.
