ya know?

i really truly hope from the bottom of my heart more change is implemented. and idc how corny this all sounds at the end of the day i love cs /:

i wholeheartedly agree. i love the concept of this website and the majority of the community is so kind, i just feel like if they dont change something, this site will die off in upcoming years.

cs is truly a place of comfort for me to come to when i need it, seeing it die off would make me upset.

all of this x100 yes. id be so so so upset if cs just... stopped. idk what id do with so much of my time. all the friends ive made here. all the good times. id just... disintegrate tbh

As someone who is a returning player from 2016, i had some trades where people would get really nasty for me for attempting to do rarity for rarity as at the point im super new to trading and didnt really know about Horrors list or how much ppl want for certain pets that are older.

But since i created my rules to be rarity for rarity im helping out alot of newer players getting their dreamies as i love to see new players get pets they cant really grab anymore.

I dont trade as often anymore cause 90% of players do year for year thing and many people do not want...i dont remember what its called my brain is brr rn cause im sleepy. I kinda bump my trades when i have the pets and help out some new players if they catch my post <33

what if the site itself held giveaways? players already do that through the threads, so what if fairly often the site held a giveaway of maybe 1 or even a few rare pets that have been sat in the pound?

that could help to increase the player number weekly instead of the site just getting busy around big events

When I first started out i didn't know ANYTHING about the rarity system untill LAST MONTHHH. of course i took a few breaks but i barely knew about MA and NONS untill last month... thats crazy. I now realize that i've probably traded away MA pets for normal rares and have been take advantage of a lot by other players who try to be sneaky. I personally also wanted to bring up mods. Of course i respect mods and there hard work but i wanted to talk about specifically locking people's forums. I realized mods don't pm the user when they are bumping to frequently. Personally, I just bump every 10min or so but I don't check my posts because I don't expect people to bump on it. and I find it quite annoying when they don't personally tell us and just let it happen.

This.
I was away/on hiatus when the List disbanded and I hoped the trading scene would have died down. This is why I like to help on the Fair Trades thread, because I'VE traded off high-value pets for regular rares, and would hate seeing others make the same mistake. I don't really agree with the system (it definitely feels 'elitist'), but it's almost as if you're forced to use it..

Do the owners make any money off of this other than what is likely used to pay artists and keep it running? I'm sure they have day jobs. I couldnt imagine working 45 or more hours a week and then, instead of relaxing by playing a game/watching TV/reading a book, having to run a website with thousands of people on it who will never all be happy. Realistically, there *is no* simple solution to these problems that will make everyone happy.
Or, if there is, I surely cant think of it. Suggestions are one thing but how could we possibly know the results.

Also I think part of the reason why there aren't as many new players is that these types of forum websites just aren't really popular anymore.

Old post by this point but I think this is a good point: do we know how much CS brings in annually and where that money goes? Is that something that should be more transparent to users? I heard through the grapevine (so take this with like. a handful of salt) that there was some drama with ArtFight this year over where money was going. Is there somewhere we can see statistics like this for CS?

The pound is a nightmare ball of anxiety and stress for me omg. I get so stressed when I don't have a wishlist pet on the first page because I know in that 15 seconds of waiting about 100 pets will disappear. Then after a refresh if there's still no wishlist, I'll end up having to grab a non wishlist recently released pet because within a minute everything is basically gone.

Another thing is if I adopt a pet and someone else gets it that fraction of a millisecond before me, then the site sometimes takes a while to load so I don't know if I got it and then I have to wait and miss out on other pets.

i also dislike it when people hoard super rare pets.. it feels so.. idk how to put it :( . saddening? not sure. im bad at wording things..

i kind of really hope staff will listen. i love this site so much. i just wish older players would be nicer.

i do see the point on having older accounts have their pets be sent to the pound but if i was that player i would be so mad coming back and seeing all my pets i worked so hard on ages ago just gone without my consent. so its probably not the best idea.. but i see and understand the point

If the old account deleted ever got implemented, there could also be a system implemented to warn players multiple times and months in advance before their account gets deleted. It could give them the chance to log back in again if they’ve forgotten about their account. However, there would be the issue of what if they didn’t use that particular email anymore but still remembered their cs password

i do think sending out multiple warnings would help, but then yeah you have the issue of lost email but remembered password :(

i so heavily agree with what other ppl have said in regards to giving people more older rares+ on dec. 18th. THE BUBBLE HAS TO BURST!!! some players i think feel so entitled & high & mighty because they own super old super rare pets and know they can "charge" crazy prices for them !! it makes everything feel so unfair when you dont have that. i have a single 2009 rare but i see people say that all because its a spider its hard to trade and i see how 100-125 09 rares add up to a non or w/e like ???? comon.. i just want the cute pets without feeling like ill go intp virtual pet debt LOOOL

(1) although i agree this site isn't quite the same as it was, i do believe some of the admins/mods listen.
i think there comes a time and place, especially on designated forums where we can be heard.
for example, prior to this camping event, there was a forum where we could input our ideas; i am seeing a lot of pets and themes that were suggested and i think they put a lot of effort in recently.
as for tess, she has been here since 2008, and at the time was an adult as well.
i can only imagine her life and among some of the other original admins have been busy. they even had applications for moderating recently, which leads me to believe this more.

(2) i think a lot of people are finding other hobbies or games, chicken smoothie is more of a community and something to do while you're waiting for a download, or waiting for your rice cooker to finish (lol).

(3) trading is a grey area, a lot of people quit for this reason. i think chicken smoothie is doing well on creating beautiful designs that are not only rares. i think we need to appreciate the art more rather than focusing on the rarity of a pet. it's so wonderful to be able to see all of the artists and their ideas. although it is nice to collect some precious gems, i think if as a community we focused more on staying connected, the game will only continue to develop more. try our best to keep it an entertaining place, support the creators, and it will develop.

i think they're trying their best to keep the nostalgic feeling of chicken smoothie, but i some fancy updates would be nice. maybe more organization, or more personalization for profiles! i would love that.

im actually very surprised that despite being a new player i really find myself agreeing with a lot of the sentiments on this thread! personally for me, a really big issue i find with the site (that ultimately makes me not wanna stay active on here) is the limitations for socialising. i love the forum games! im really enjoying all the little β€œchats” with ppl in the event forums! but ultimately, compared to a lot of other sites, cs really feels lacking in terms of community interaction on a proper scale. i was so surprised when i found out there was not a single place for casual chat!! not even a discord! and as other people have mentioned earlier, friends and other connections seem to be the easiest/one of the only ways for people to gain larger value pets, and as a result of that, as a newer player im often left feeling a tad hopeless about ever really getting close to any higher value pets!. if some sort of live chat or seperate chat forum or even a discord was implemented, that would imo really help with 1) keeping more players active on the site 2) gaining stronger senses of community which will hopefully negate some players mean attitudes that others have talked about here, and 3) help even the playing field for us new and less fortunate traders

and another thing i forgot to mention- pm’ing is really lackluster. its hard not to compare it to other sites which are much more natural and streamlined. they really need an upgrade! better layout, group chats ect?
