Suggestion: Pings avaliable on CS? 400+ SUPPORT!

Definitely support. Since there's relatively little else to do on the site besides trading and making art the forums play a huge part in its longevity, and being able to ping people is a basic QOL feature that CS should've had a long time ago

support! I don't always see when people quote/reply to me because the thread might be moving super fast or I'm on another thread focused on that one. I wish I could be notified when someone is trying to talk to me

Support! I'm pretty active on the Fair trade forum and it would be really nice for the person I'm giving advice to, to be notified when I've given them advice to their trade (like, pinging them) I think it could potentially speed up trade responses in that way c:

Basically the title question. Is something like this even possible or realistic to code into CS?

I’m not talking about just posting to a forum you created, but if you say something then someone quotes you in direct response to the message you posted in a forum.

I realize that CS forum is more like the early 2000s games forum styles than it is to like, Reddit or something, but I’m still wondering if this is possible.

Alternatively instead of having pings in a Reddit/social media style, I think a discord style of @mention someone with their CS ID # (not username as people change these often) works really well too, and @mention should be automatic for quoted forums (that have option to be turned off ofc).

I think an @mention pinging system is pretty realistic coding wise, as I’ve seen many pre-2000s to early 2000s be able to code this into their barebones forum systems as well! 🙏
