"They are part of the game so they should count"
so do stores? so why does store not count, they are part of the game, and make it interesting to collecting like UR, make it interesting and fun to collect.
But if UR does not count, stores should not count.
If UR count, stores should count.

I'm in the middle, but I think UR should not count in general.

I agree with you

Strong support for not including the UR pets in the regular "full collection" count.

As others have mentioned, it doesn't make sense to me that store pets don't count, but UR pets that are often significantly harder to acquire are included!

I reviewed some of the OMGSR & UR Pets Count/Tracking Document to see how many UR pets they have listed. I know these numbers don't encompass all pets available on the site, as it relies on users to submit known pets to be listed, but it gives a general idea.

Most recent (2019-2024) UR pets only have around 60-80 or so known pets listed. Most older UR pets have around 100-200 known pets listed. Even though there are certainly more UR pets that are not listed/known, that seems like a dismally low number for just the "confirmed/known" pets.

It means that the VAST majority of players, even ones who are super active with trading, will be unable to ever achieve a "full collection" for any year unless they spend significant amounts of money and/or get incredibly lucky. ESPECIALLY considering that there is at least 2 UR pets EVERY YEAR to try and keep up with.

As others have mentioned, getting all the 2009-2008 pets is enough of a challenge for most users (especially for anyone who hasn't been a member on Chicken Smoothie for 10+ years). And for anyone who enjoys the challenge of these UR pets, or already has a full collection of regular pets, I don't see how having a separate "full collection" indicator for UR pets and store pets would change anything for people wanting to hunt down those special pets. So it honestly seems like a win-win to me!

It would make me so happy to see this changed.

-EDIT after reading a lot of old posts on this thread-
I've seen some arguments saying that store pets are not included because you HAVE to spend real money to get them, but UR pets are included because you can TECHNICALLY get them without spending real money. In my honest opinion, that argument is a bit flawed because you can also "technically" get any store pet without spending money. You can trade ANY pets for C$, so I'm sure there are MANY, many people who purchase recent store pets with C$ (or pets) through trade, and spend no actual money in the process. It's so easy to get a recent store pet without money, but a recent UR pet? Good luck!

I am, once again, supporting this suggestion.
