Gacha games seem to be super popular these days... I wonder if a gacha style "pay this amount of c$, have a chance to get a super rare thing" box would work lol (maybe not include store pets though)
It is sad though, I've definitely noticed a lot less activity than there was back in 2011-2015. Roleplays used to span hundreds of pages to the point where second versions would have to be made, now I see tons of new ones being started with only 5-20 pages or something. :(

I've been playing for 11 years, and I'd like to put some input if that's okay!

I really love the way CS is, and I would HATE it if all of a sudden there were things like daily reward systems, lotteries, quests, etc., basically making CS a carbon-copy of FR, Lioden, Furrypaws, whatever. I think it's a big part of the reason I've stayed for so long.

I don't feel forced to log in (daily rewards for example), there is no dailies (CHORES) like gathering on FR, it's calm to be here for me. If I miss a couple days because I'm sick, then no stress!
I'll sign up on a new browser-game, like Dappervolk, and a few weeks later, I dread logging on. But I feel as if I have to or otherwise I miss out. CS events are different for me I guess, they happen the same times every year, and I look forward to them. There isn't too many events like Animal Crossing Pocket Camp either.

Several years ago, I was pretty into a game, Wajas, a dog breeding game. There was a daily reward system, you'd get currency, and the amount you'd get would increase during your log-in-streak (if that makes sense lol). My streak was 260 something days, and was earning 6 million + currency a day. Well one day I missed a day, I don't know if I was sick, or just plain forgot, but I missed.
When I saw it go from 260 to 0, the stress I felt was unreal. I quit Wajas immediately on the spot, too much pressure for me.

Free C$ via daily rewards is a terrible way to combat the C$ inflation. And absolutely NO GACHAS, it's gambling and takes advantage of children & vulnerable individuals (Would make CS banned in some countries as well)

I don't want CS to go from a calm, relaxing website, to a site with lots of pressure. CS is also one of the only things I can play when I have a headache (which is like 90% of the time), which I appreciate deeply since it's really hard to do anything that basically moves otherwise when I'm in pain.
If CS is too boring for you, find a different game. CS is one-of-a-kind, and will always be in my heart.

No support at all to re-releasing stores. Yeah, I wish I could have some of the 09 & 10 stores, but part of the reason I bought mine was that they were special, a reward that I bought them, and it was promised that they wouldn't be re-released, adding to the specialness of them.
Re-releasing stores has been brought up millions of times, and the answer is always the same from staff. It will NOT change no matter how many people protest. How'd you feel if a promise that had been kept for over a decade was suddenly broken? I'd feel pretty upset. Stores are basically semi-customs, and not apart of a complete collection. They were meant as "thank yous" for giving money to the site.

Also no support for giving new players a few free rares & VRs. Great way to sink rarities, increase multiple accounts and cheating, and as well as ninja trades & scamming (:
I do support though, a few free commons or something though from a couple months before they started though (Gothicats does something similar.)

I also like "cake days" for CS join dates, maybe a lil stamp to go along with it or something! Or just more stamps in general <33

Sadly, the mods recently made a whole topic about why CS can never have a gatcha implemented. The basis of the game is centered around kids, and legally they cannot use gatcha with minors on the game because of the US gambling laws.

There's been talk about re-releasing store pets on December 18, but what about cycling them through the store again, perhaps just for a little bit with an account purchase limit (like, you can only choose one of three or something like that)? This could help people obtain pets they want/help lower value as well as double as a C$ sink, thus leveling out the economy in two ways.

As much as I'm down for any store re-release, the staff have covered that topic many times over the years, and made it clear that the reason stores are so sought after is because they don't have any re-releases. They have told users on countless occasions they won't change it, so I doubt that will get implemented

yeah, especially that they are limited releases. it is unfortunate if you want it, but so many other games do the exact same thing. think of the imperial scrolls from flightrising- the auction for one went for $9000+ worth of USD (i think). in the same sense, i do think it's very unfair to rerelease store pets. the site was small, there was no guarantee it was going to be around for long, so they took a gamble and it paid off. do i agree with how high the value is? not sure. but rereleasing these pets definitely isn't the way to go.

I mean, this thread hasn't been up very long and we've already come up with plenty of plausible ideas. from encouraging users to be more supportive of eachother to more minigames and even daily logins (i really liked the idea of a specific currency for daily logins, and items that can be bought with it), having to do 'quests' to adopt pets in the pound and all other incredible ideas.

I also think it'd be fun to have more discussion on what individual players/smaller groups could do to help. Clubs dedicated to teaching new players how to play, brainstorming on forum games we could make that are more interactive, ect. It takes a lot more upkeep but things like the gachapon adoption centre that pops up once in a while, or making a choice based mini-game via the forums.

i love this idea, maybe we could have like an arcade like we did in the internet even but with more than one game obv and get stuff like pets, items, stamps or even c$ back

I do think that part of the reason trading has become so difficult is the older user base. Most of the near adult users have been on CS for a few years. Myself included, other than a few scattered monthly outcomes, all the pets I have left to collect are older/rarer pets. There simply isn't the demand for more recent or common pets because a large majority of the users already have them.

At least make store pets extremely rare on dec 18, I still fully support adding stores to dec 18, itd still keep them at nons worth, it would just keep them at a balance instead of raising to 30 nons

I like the idea of making them a Dec 18th pet, but perhaps making that box or even the chance of a store pet purchasable with CS. (only once of course) This would help limit the re-release even more.

in my opinion store pets shouldnt ever be rereleased just because of how i think it was promised to buyers that they would never be rereleased? it feels wrong to go back on a promise like that, especially when it was used to convince people to spend actual real life money. that's not to say that nothing should be done, however. there are tons of dead accounts from the past with valuable pets on them. by closing those accounts and placing the pets in the pound, it would put the pets back into circulation without artificially creating more and also save server space. accounts would have to reach a certain age to be deleted + get emailed warnings about it a few times

ik treasured childhood accounts would get lost with this method, but in the end putting those pets back into circulation and making trading hopefully a bit easier is worth more than an account someone hasn't logged into for the past 10 years imo

plus ppl can't complain about it being unfair to collectors or something bc the amount of pets that exist would stay exactly the same. theyre just in different hands now

I would be in favor of this. I'm sure there lots of unused or dead accounts.
