Idea to add another rarity between VR & OMGSR? (Poll added)

If you're going to add another rarity tag toward one end of the Rarity spectrum, I think there needs to be another added to the opposite. I think just adding one between VR and OMGSR will unbalance everything, so you'll need to add another one to settle it out.Plus just haveing more rarity tags on one end just make them seem less and less valuable.

But all in all, I don't think we really need that. For one, if we do add it, I feel like it's going to be a short while until people start saying we should add another, to see which ones of that group are closer, and then they'll want another, and then another, and then we just end up with this whole mess of 30 different rarity tags and a long, confusing list of how to convert them.
And if we do that, well is a mess of a madhouse, really.

I think at this point, we are fine. My mind might change later, but I don't really see that big of a reason to change it at this time, especially with the rarity update. I'll come back in a year or two and see if my mind has changed for support.

I had an idea along these lines, what if they added some kind of marking, or... gradiant spot (Kind of like a bubble in a level) to show where a pet sits in it's rarity? Like if a rare is closer to an uncommon, the bubble would be to the left, or if it is just in the middle, in no worry of changing rarity any time soon, the centre, or if it is on the cusp of getting to very rare, it would be on the right? Then we would have a better gauge without needing new rarities?

I think it would be really helpful and eliminate the need for dates even, if you knew more preciously where a pet sits (ref'ing my idea above) then you'd know how close something is to going up a rarirty versus having to watch when it went rare and who knows about the influx of members between then and all the variables. Like that Pink sorb was pretty out of the blue and most people were probably taken by surprise.

I agree with this! I've always felt like the gap between VR and OMGSR has been WAY too big.
I'm not so sure about one between R and VR, to me that one doesn't seem very necessary.
On the topic of some people saying adding a rarity to one end of the spectrum and not the other; saying that it would unbalance it makes no sense! The rarity system isn't a scale, but more of a 'slider'. Adding a rarity (Now I have no idea how CS is coded so don't take my word as fact) should only provide more accuracy, and not affect any pets other than those that would fall under the new rarity.
Hopefully what I am saying makes sense?

Me too I personally like the rarity system the way it is.
