Suggestion: Fewer tokens + some Summer Event Changes

Either there needs to be fewer tokens or extend the event. This event already has 21 tokens and lasts a little over a week. That's not nearly enough time for your average user to collect all those tokens.

I also agree maybe a minigame where you can earn tokens with a timer like the banners would be helpful. Maybe I'm biased because I'm going to be on vacation, in school, and working the entire event, but I've almost given up on the event before it even started because I don't have a single hope of completing it.

i think the problem is that most of the trade-ins right now require at least 2 tokens; i just did the math and if you get perfect rng you need 46 tokens which amounts to oh, a nice 14 hours and 20 minutes of straight banner grinding.

that's also if you just don't want one of every token. if you want one of every token, that adds on ten more hours if i did my math right. if the tokens are weighted individually (which i do suspect they are; my tokens are skewing more seeds/fruit) rather than by "group," it just isn't possible to get enough of everything since you have a 56% chance of getting a fruit or a seed, rather than a 33% chance of getting something that is a fruit/seed or a chip or a sapling.

it probably isn't possible to rebalance the probability, but for next year, perhaps? i thought last year was bad but i ended up with most of everything i wanted. this year? i doubt i'm gonna be able to get everything i want and i'm hitting banners at the same frequency as i usually do.

I don't agree. While it might be nice, it would cater to those who "complain" about not getting such and such token. You can trade them, you know. Extending the event instead of extending the token trade-in time would be better.

This suggestion was originally more about just not having so many tokens to have to collect, I don’t see how it would cater to that. If anything this would make that better. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to get certain tokens or wanting to collect all of them for an item collection.

Edit: Whoops I misread. There was a suggestion in here to extended the event time, but if that isn’t something they do then the token amount being smaller would be ideal. We aren’t asking for an extended token trade in time....?

(Not trying to discount us, because active players are vital to a site as well! It can just be really easy to forget on a site as big as CS that it's not just us)

Like... are average users feeling overwhelmed? (You gotta admit that giant list of tokens at most trade-ins is terrifying especially when you only get one token per banner, even if you can mix and match tokens in trade-ins) because if average users are feeling overwhelmed, what are they going to do? How much does the average user trade? How much does the average user even post? Because if the average user doesn't trade or post that much...

I voted Yes, please. IMO there are way too many tokens in summer events. I LOVE the variety, but also it makes it way more stressful to try and get everything.
Less tokens, or maybe have a chance to get more than one token per banner.

Just from checking out the casual chat thread and normal pet discussion thread I’ve picked out at least five ‘normal’ users who aren’t always active voicing they think there are too many tokens this time. And I’ve only been skimming the thread.

I would be even happier if after token trade in ended, we could snag a free item pack with 1 of each event token in it - or even a random assortment of half the tokens to help appease collectors and those who don't collect can trade them off to item collectors (saving 25 tokens for an item collection - that is equal 6 to 7 pets vs halloween or easter being 1 less pet being able to be purchased makes it harder for those users who want to collect one of everything) *italicized this since i made a small edit to the wording after i reread what i wrote*

I made the mistake of not saving one of each of the medival faire tokens and I STILL am missing one even though I check almost every person I am trading with for one that is up for trade

When I was working I barely had time to snag enough tokens to get my daily pets and now there are even MORE items needed to trade in

A player who say can only get 10 or 12 banners a day can keep up with the Easter and Halloween events with minimal trading - this event has to be a nightmare for people who can't be around day & night to gather tokens

If the number of individual tokens is going to continue to be this much, I think the banners should drop to 10 minutes vs 20 (same banner limits).. I think the first day I had to hunt for 3 hours before I could even do my first trade in which is a little crazy

I am sincerely hoping we don't have ANOTHER token for token trade in like we have had in the past (like last year to get the buntings, kites, and catfish plushies and the previous one where you had to turn in tokens to get food tokens to trade in elsewhere)

Actually getting a complete set after token trade ins have ended is a lovely idea. I like it.
