I'm sorry but I see don't see what Zeena means. This user was asking for help with what I can see as a clear point of discussion. How pinpoint do discussions have to be on this website? They want help with their species but they just get shut down.

I don't think mods understand how hurtful getting a topic locked is when you are young or even an adult. If it didn't belong in the general discussion then move it. With how dead the site is you think they'd appreciate any kind of discussions... which this one had.
The "clear point of discussion" is in the title my dude lol.

"This belongs in a signature" .... What?? They wanted to discuss a species they wanted to make not include a question in their sig no one is going to answer.

This. There IS a clear point of discussion too

I don’t even know how the player would even fit all of that in their signature? It’s not possible. 😵‍💫 I agree that the post was on-topic, it had a clear point of discussion as well. The response to the topic lock seems like it was automated (even though I assume it was not).

i would like to say that it has been pointed out that there is a fine line between sounding disconnected and stale and sounding clear and concise, and i believe that is what the response is reaching toward. when providing direction and corrections, it is better to stick to that clear and concise sound because it isn't meant to be a friendly conversation. they are simply doing what they were instructed to do, which is correct and moderate players.

i can agree that this one does seem to have no reason to be shut down, but i also believe there are better places to incorporate this. it is an "interest check", so to speak, and i have seen those primarily in the oekaki boards and art boards as opposed to overall general discussion.

But a raffle would be fun!

I would love monthly raffle, or even some events for older pets like in Pokemon go. Comunnity day every month etc…the game was Death before They started doing this sort of things.

This is game when you need to collect pets to progress but how can I progress with no valuable pets or doing pay to win. (Buying for 300+ dolars one pet) one pet for this price on children site…

This site is just dying right now….even I do not know for how much longer I will be able to take it. These are problems dates back even to 2011. No solutions were ever made. And the problems got bigger and bigger every year. Gap between Players Thanks to this is now ridiculous…. This site can not grow without more new players. But why should They stay? If They can not collect older pets. And that is the point of this game.

To me, I agree that things should be concise and to the point, I just felt like response didn’t make sense. You cannot fit something that large in a signature, and regardless I don’t know why it wasn’t moved to the correct location, it would have fit in “off-Oekaki” I’d assume.

it genuinely would not be as hard to fit into a signature as people are making it seem. with formatting, content cutting, and image resizing, you can fit just about anything into a signature!

If anything I pm'd the user offering help with their species. I just hope their enthusiasm for their species wasn't killed.

As a neurodivergent person, it can be really hard to get my main point across most of the time. Rejection hurts even more which is something I would feel if I posted a topic like this that got locked. Like what I had to say wasn't important enough. When a topic gets locked you feel like you're in trouble!

@chaotic creativity
You can put anything into a signature! Although, they are asking for input which isn't something you get from a signature.
You can't discuss in a signature. Signatures are mostly completely overlooked anyway as they are just a tag at the end of a different discussion. Saying this belongs in a signature does not make sense to me. They will not receive the input they want by putting a question in a signature, especially if the only way to get any response from that is through PM's. Which is too direct for someone like me who is very anxious about one on one talking online.

Just saw a post by someone who is quitting say that its become habit and not fun and that really resonates with me.

I only stay on here to do something and only get excited about events which only happen every few months. I just stay cause its something ive been doing since 2014 but i see more and more that i should quit honestly, my collections will never be done and is something i stopped trying to do a year after i came back to cs. I dont have the motivation to try and do things on here anymore. its a lot to think about but seeing how there is nothing said yet by tess and nick. more cons then pros imo. i dont do art and im not active on forums other than this one, just here to trade pets and thats imposible if u wanna do more than trade anything above 2017 and anything above uncommon.

I've always been disappointed in the way the forums are run in regards to "must have a clear topic of discussion" and things getting locked. I have noticed that threads themselves can't be personal; the person in that example.cant make a thread for talking about their own species, because it's personal. They could get away with making a thread that is for anyone to post their own species ideas. But this creates a problem which im sure everyone has seen: people post in the threads things that they want to talk about, but never actually reply to or talk to anyone else. There's no real conversations that happen.
