The pet organization one really gets me. I can imagine that sorting by archive could be a lot of work to do, especially if they had to change some kind of data for each individual pet outcome.
But alphabetical based on names? I cannot image that that would be nearly as much of workload. Alphabetical can potentially also be archival - at can be
anything - it just puts the work on us to come up with a naming system that reflects how we want our groups to look. But with the mass renaming option already there, it would be alright and worth the time.
this is the one that really gets me as well. i've been dreaming of this for this for years. it would make everything so much better just to be able to have my pets how i want them ;-;

From what I've seen, some staff have given some of their opinions on things. But as far as admins go, it's been completely quiet as far as I've seen. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

i havent read thru every single reply, but ive kept up with this thread since the start. as far as ive seen, the only response has been mods saying "we have no control over this, its up to tess and nick"
which is also kinda scary in a way. the entire site's future based on two people? i feel like mods should have more of a final say, yknow?
i love emily pope so so much

the only responses i can find from admins are four from simon (1, 2, 3, & 4). i have seen a fair amount of other staff appearing, including admin assistants.
thank you for linking simons! i'm mostly interested in admin only responses as other staff have said themselves they can do nothing to help but show support
it seems the only admin responses are just clarifying some situations but nothing regarding changes coming from this thread or tess & nick checking in ):

I agree on the rarity thing of the game hahah. I've been a player since 2014 and haven't gotten that far in terms of past pets because people don't trade very fairly and when I say fair I don't mean the worth y'all put on them I mean what I would genuinely realistically give up for a singular pet ^^
I think if it doesn't get fixed there will come a time, similar to that of a crash in the housing market, where no one will really want to or be able to trade for them as they will be too expensive, thus having a crash in value as no one will want them for their stated "fair value"
(This is just my thoughts of course ^^)
These are my two ultimate dreamies and have been since I joined in 2014 ^^ I’m still yet to get one so I’m super eager to get offers, or can do high quality art for them, or both! I hope for the day I own them hahah xD

Heck, while there is a lot of inflation if you don't know where to look for those 'other method' of obtaining C$ your plum outta luck.
One idea I'd have is on Dec 18 just make a paid for box (with c$) and you'd get a random store pet. Older pets are harder to get than more recent store pets, ultimate ignoring their actual rarity. That or make store pets as rare as OMG pulls from the Dec 18 box. Letting stores be released at all would fix MANY issues and I wouldn't mind paying for it.
Personally, I can't see this working. What you're describing is gambling and considering that ChickenSmoothie is a kid-friendly website, something like this would not pass. I can see where you're coming from, however I don't believe it would be a good idea to have this system in place. Even adult players could get in on the craze if this were to be implemented.
For the likes of Dec 18th, it's okay because it's more of a free-to-enter raffle. You're not losing anything of value by adopting a free box with a chance of obtaining good pets; with a paid box you'll be losing C$ and IRL currency.
I agree with you regarding older pets. The more time that passes the harder they are to obtain and to come by. Putting more back into circulation would be of benefit - and for C$ inflation, I believe that is why the more recent store pets are more expensive. My understanding is that they have risen the price of newer store pets and item sets to combat this issue. Unless I'm completely wrong about that, but from the time I have played I've only ever seen the store pet sets go for 80C$ max. Since then it has risen to 100C$.
Something that staff had hosted pretty recent was a writing competition. Maybe the website could host frequent raffles/competitions with the chance of winning certain store pets?

i agree 100% im thinking about quitting if nothing changes, they dont seem to care enough imo and we cant do anything about it other than keep threads like this uo in hopes they work smth out. i know im only one player and losing me isnt a loss but how many more ppl have to quit for them to care enough. trying to remain positive is hard when it all falls on 2 ppl who wont talk

I also agree with this. I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it really, truly does feel like they just don't care about this site anymore. I'm sure they have many other things in their lives that take up their time, but you would think after over a decade, they would have updated some stuff. But no, it's all just continuing to get worse and worse.
