I'm trying to collect one of every pet on CS.

I have the pets that I want to keep for my collection in groups sorted by year. Despite this, all my collection groups (and my trading groups, for that matter) are an absolute mess. Monthlies from one litter sandwiched in between other monthly litters and then some event pets... it's chaotic and very unpleasing to my eye.

Not only is it messy, but it also leaves me a large margin of error. I can't tell you how many times I've been going through my collection groups and have noticed duplicate pets PAGES away from one another MONTHS after they've been added. It messes with my collection count and makes me think I'm closer to my goal than I actually am.

On top of all that, I also have both OCD and OCPD. So to not be able to organize my pets the way I want them drives me absolutely bananas. It's kept me awake at night multiple times and almost caused me to have an anxiety attack once. Not very fun.

That's why I would absolutely love to be able to sort my pets by litter, like they are in the archives. It'll look much cleaner, duplicate pets I accidentally add to my collection will be right next to each other thus way easier to spot and take care of, and it would just save me a lot of stress and worry.

I've made a comment on a thread with similar interests, and I highly support this!!! Here's my quote from the other thread:

I definitely need something to categorize pets by species. I have over 5,000 pets in my pets without a group that have accumulated over the years. I feel as though it would be easier to categorize by species for people, such as myself, who have simple group names that only separate by species and not by much else - such as rarity or year.

I know I'm to blame for so many pets in one place but I often find myself unable to find a pet I want to sort so I just leave it there for later, that or I don't have time to sort after a trade, and the group just keeps getting larger.

Having multiple different ways to sort pets, in my opinion, will definitely help a lot of users in maintaining their pets and to better keep their groups up to date and organized. I feel as though being able to sort by; species, rarity, date, and possibly even named or unnamed, would be incredibly helpful tools.
