^^' Um I really don't think that statement would be considered rude coming from a regular user, so gonna assume this is cause I'm staff. I'm clearly not speaking here in an official capacity but this kinda proves that I can't talk normally with regular users without it being read into. They had made the statement rather matter-of-fact and I thought it was odd to proclaim 2015 as the last year we got a monthly rare pet when that isn't true.

no, i'd find it rude no matter who said it, even more so if it was from a regular user. i didn't say it matter of factly, i included "iirc" meaning "if i remember correctly", as in "just based off of memory, this is when the last rare pet was released normally" . never did i proclaim it as if it was a fact :/

i guess for me, again, this is just making an exception for a small group of people. there are so many rare, very rare and omgsr pets on the site. it just takes time to get them. why not add a few more rarer outcomes here or there. people are always going to be mad no matter what, but trading to get rare pets is part of the fun of the site…

Except when its basically impossible to get good pets just starting out, lots of people get frustrated and quit, look at the sheer number of people who are new users saying the same on this thread

i just think it’d be better for users to actually HAVE a chance at getting a rare/vr compared to not having a chance at all? it’ll give us a good reason to log in and adopt those pets and actually want to trade knowing hey this pet is more obtainable yk??? i dont even wanna adopt half the monthlies since i know the highest they’ll get is uncommon tbh… i think we’d benefit from some more high values to trade !!

i feel like 'people would be upset' isn't really a good reason not to add more rares/vrs to monthly adopts. like some others said, somebody will always be mad no matter what and it's unfair to the users who actually want this stuff. people get upset over not getting good pets on the 18th. should you remove all good pets from the boxes then?

To all the staff commenting on why things can’t happen, while I’m sure we all appreciate you guys for taking the time to read our suggestions, you’re also doing exactly what a lot of us here are having issues with, getting shot down. We want to here your guys’ side on why things can’t happen a certain way, but maybe you can also give us ideas of what could work. When you only shoot us down, we feel like we make no difference, like nothing we say matters. Please, just try to hear us and we will try to hear you.

So, so true. Suggestions, compromise and solutions would go along way. Otherwise, unfortunately, it can feel like people are just... defensive? Which I get! I am defensive too! But it's important to separate our personal sense of self from the jobs we do, y'know?

I actually agree with staff here that when monthly pets are rare it becomes a hoard situation and people up the prices just to get it when it's only a recent monthly pet. It becomes more stressful at least for me but probably others too when all we want is just one for a collection.

i get that… but why not at least make a few regular pets rarer here or there. i didn’t have expensive pets starting out either, it just takes some time to get them. but it would help boost the trading system and it wouldn’t be all ‘old’ users having the rare pets. new users would get them too simply with the probability when adopting outcomes.

The vast majority of people who DON’T get them are upset. In order to be VR a lot of people have to miss out.

i mean that’s just a given for that rarity… it should be expected that people will be upset they don’t get it, but again, that’s a part of collecting so…

exactly no matter what people will be upset, but people will also be pretty happy if thry do end up getting those good pets

I would be all for rarer pets in monthly adopts, but that wouldn't really help with users interacting with each others and would probably deter a few players.
Honestly, whenever a popular pet comes out (pigeon PPS dragon, lion from valentine's, etc ...), even if they end up uncommon you have :
- People spamming the trading forum posts for the same pets
- People having bidding wars and whatnot in the same topics
- People making auctions for impossible prices
- People complaining with a mean tone in discussion threads


I'm not sure if there is a solution to that, but I don't really want the forum to turn into a dumpster every time a VR pet comes out.

i actually really love the idea of more very rare monthlies, like i said in my last post i feel like it could really really help with the trading scene. people complain that high value pets are unobtainable for them, and new users are more often than not completely unable to trade for anything high value and have to wait and hope they get something good on dec 18. and there’s so many not really well liked pets you can get on dec 18, that it’s really disappointing for a new user to open their boxes and just get… horses, rats, or something. stuff that other users won’t want to trade for, and their dream pets continue to be unobtainable for them. they’ll just have to wait until next dec 18 for another chance. there really should be more ways to get valuables! and all our valuables shouldn’t just be old pets that are re-released, and not just the dec 18 URs.
i’d also just generally love this because one reason i’ve been losing interest in CS is because i’ve done everything i’ve wanted to do, really. i collected the species i really like and well, what more is there to do besides do uncommon and below swaps for those species whenever they’re released? i would absolutely love having to trade for higher value pets again. it was hard when i was collecting those species, but i like the fact it’s hard! i want games to be hard, i want them to feel rewarding.
