WHY PEOPLE ARE QUITTING CS- A Discussion

I don't know why we are so hung up on rereleasing old pets more, when the staff could easily add more VR/omgsr pets to monthly adopts...

I mentioned it earlier and I'll mention the idea again: the hype around the may/June lionesses were huge. The August pps was huge. The rainbowmane was huge when it came out too. Zebras are released at random when you adopt horses. The same used to happen when you adopted malk pets back in the day -- a random chance to adopt a dragon.

These VR/omgsr releases drop major value into the community at random, giving a chance for newer members to get valuable pets. It forces old users to circulate their older pets for the cool new monthly releases too.

We don't need to uproot the cs economy by rereleasing old pets more, or releasing old store pets again. We need CS to give value to accounts without us having to pay for it. The only pets that are released with value today are store pets. I don't think enough people are angry about that. I am. I don't think newer users should have to drop money to play this game. I never had to and I don't think that's fair.

for new users a new user package might be a good idea, where you can get quite a few good pets (randomized so those pets dont entirely lose their value or maybe a newbie exclusive pet so newbies can trade them around for good stuff)

I would certainly play more often if more special pets were added into the mix. like UR's and such but monthlies. Everyone gets a chance at something new that's Rare.

This would cause problems though because people would make multiple accounts more often

Hello again, popping in here to say that maybe the old store pets lines should be revamped and have new colors to them for the newer generation, as it has been years since these pets were released.


There are a lot of lines i absolutely adore, including the cerberus, raven dog, the alien dog pets, and other lines. I would love for those lines to be reused again or even revamped and have new color variants, maybe even fusions of these pets for 2nd gens. I also would love the idea of permanent store pets, like we have with the items in the C$ Shop. I know full well ill never get these pets just because of how confusing their worths are and how hard they are to get, and its sad to see. Everyone seems to have such a hard time understanding worths because of everyone thinking differently that something has to be done.

If the old pets are so hard to get nowadays, why not just reuse those lines for new colors or even gen 2's for the player base to have a chance at owning one of these. I love what they do with the old malk pets when its the CS Birthday, they get rereleased with new colors, why not do the same with these old store pets? Maybe even revamp these old lines, including the malk pets.

These old pets are so hard to get its frustrating, their worth keeps going up and I dont think it'll ever stop going up. Everyone has no chance at getting these if they keep going up and nothing is being done with releasing pets that may help get these pets to begin with, even with the december 18th gifts, theres still such a low chance to get anything good, and most of the time I dont see a lot of people wanting rereleases of old rare pets unless their rereleases of list pets(Again this is just from my experience), I could be wrong but I do think maybe reusing old lines like cs does with the malk pets on the sites birthday would be a wonderful idea! Maybe even a special event with these revamped lines?.

Do let me know if this is a bad idea, i just think it'd be fun to see the old store pet lines being revamped and have new color outcomes like with the malk and nick pets they do every year on the sites birthday, maybe even being 2nd gens like with the 2nd gen monthly adopts. It at least lets people have these lines at some point, even if its not the original line variants, at least its a variant of those lines! I would LOVE to see an albino crow dog, maybe even a piebaled crowdog!

I reckon they should put those left over fodder pets from the pound into a separate place to add to that package. That way it solves two problems and members get a start to their collection for free.

I am also a bit curious, do events not count as a way for new users to get rare pets? It seems to me that would be a perfect opportunity for new users to get some valuable pets that requires no investment other than time. I realize not everyone values event pets the same but I see users valuing them as worth more than regular monthly pets a lot more often that as worth less than monthly pets and popular ones retain good trade value over time. Sure they are newer rares but that would be the same of rares in monthly litters or pets generated in a welcome package and the like.

Just want to throw in that the user response to having rare monthly adopts or even rarer pets during events is overwhelmingly negative. If we try to make something rare in an event the discussion almost always devolves into nothing but complaints about it until we make it more common (see the dragon end pet from the Cave event).

Unfortunately if they did that, then users would make new accounts simply to funnel those randomized pets into their original account. Multiple accounts is a serious issue on CS, especially during Dec 18th and events, and this would likely be abused the same way.

I think having an "adopt a newbie" program that is more active and supported would be good. Older users can gift their newbie better pets and show them the ropes about forum posting and trading so it's not so overwhelming.
