i don't have a ton to say because i'm a pretty new player, but i will say that i've been gifting folks the rares that i manage to get from other people's gifts or by lucky trades for the exact reasons of the economy right now! i want to at least give newer players something to be proud of or at the least a shot at getting some pet they really want even if its older, yk? but it sucks in a sense that folks like me have to do that just because it's nearly impossible for new people to get anywhere otherwise. anyways. just my two cents. agree w all of this yaya

Frankly if everyone tries to just boycott the website or harass through email I think it's more likely that the admins/owners will give up and close it. I mean they've been running this site for so many years now, I'd be getting tired if it was me...

If I had to guess, the reason behind them not being so active is that it's just not worth all the work anymore.

And continuing all this hate speech stuff. While I think asking them to take this down is wrong, I'd understand it. You don't really want that on your site, and maybe add a NICE message of why. Also, leaving up/addressing threads like this and being ok with the aforementioned save cs signature but hate speech?? In today's world, you cannot be saying things are hate speech. I'm an lgbt+ Jewish person. I've gone through hate speech. I've gone through a lot of bullying and it just feels so...dismissive to call disliking something hate speech. Maybe I'm too hung up on it but it feels disrespectful of so many people and their struggles.

I dont know if something like this already exists but I think having a group that targets and gifts new players pets that are actually worth something may help? Obviously its not a long term solution but dispersing even just a few older rares in the hands of people that don't have anything may help restart the trading economy. This really just sounds like another dec 18th rr but since thats not going to happen maybe the players can do something instead of waiting on staff? idk

I think the name of the forum needs to be changed at the very least. This isn't a discussion on why people are leaving. It's a discussion on what people want done about it

Haha, yeah. I was offline for two years until I logged on yesterday... I’ve been playing since I was in 5th grade.
I mean, I love the game, but it gets boring after a few minutes. Especially since the friend that I used to play this with stopped talking to me long ago.
I mostly come online now to play forum games, that’s it. I don’t trade that much anymore because I’ve gotten attached to all my pets since I’ve had them forever. (And because the pet economy is difficult now) They’ve become a nostalgic treasure to me somehow.
But don’t get me wrong, I don’t plan on quitting anytime soon as this game brings back memories, but I wish there was more to do. What could they do for that? I don’t know.
Other than that, I’m usually here for a few days before logging off and never returning until years later… Maybe they’ll do something for this site in the future, but for now, all we can do is accept it for what it is.

harass is a bit of a strong word here but i do understand 😭

i also had the thought in mind while making the email suggestion - there's always a possibility they might just... get angry and shut it all down. i don't know how likely that is because i'm very dramatic and always see the worst outcomes but it's definitely something i worry about. i adore part of this community and the overall site SO, so very much that even thinking of it being shut down frightens me

this is true. i think atp this site is too large and complex for just 2 ppl plus some admin to manage

im a newbie, and the friends thing really comes into play for me. this isnt something staff can solve but ive had several rude encounters with people for just not knowing trading values, to the point where ive put it in my sig so people dont come at me (esp because i have rejection sensitive disorder and autism)
it makes me scared of even trading for freebies bc im terrified ill do smn wrong and get blacklisted and yelled at or declined with a rude message
