All Event Suggestion Thread

During the summer event I thought of a few ideas for a summer event.
-They couldn’t do an “Olympics” event because of copyright but maybe just a general sports event? Styled after the Olympics so there were be a bunch of different sports.
-Grand Tour of Europe event. I’m not really sure how this would work but it would be fun because it wouldn’t be based on just one country but a lot of different ones. Maybe it could be tied into a cruise theme I’ve seen mentioned before. Like the main area would be a cruise ship but it’s visiting different ports everyday!

I've got some new summer event ideas!

Cruise ship - sailing around and seeing the wonders of the world on a luxury cruise ship!

Deserted island trip - maybe combined with the cruise ship? The second map of the event is the island after the ship gets caught on some rocks or runs out of oil or something - or sabotage by mischievious merpets who would like us out of the water! The island could be a secret pirate hideout, and we'd find treasure.


Trip to the big city - staying at a hotel, and exploring the streets! The tokens could be loose change. Location and NPC ideas: The hotel lobby, a buffet table, an art gallery, a coffee-shop/café, a busker, maybe a construction site or shady alleyway


I'm not sure how exactly this one would work, but maybe a road trip theme?

i would love to see a big city trip (maybe visiting avian/totoro's cousins or something?) with an artist character that gives out "temporary tattoo" items and a fasionista character that gives out "high fashion" looks/pets. maybe this could be based on non-us cities, perhaps more in the style of new zealand cities since that's where tess and nick are from and it's incorporated into a lot of early stuff for the site.

bonus points if it gets paired with something wild, like being a "spy" with really low stakes (in actuality? just an excuse for cool gadgets and a cute minigame) a la perry the platypus. or maybe this could be a mission to "find a lost child" or something

alternatively, this could also be incorporated into a mall, maybe with a fountain where you can "make a wish" and get some pet/item/dialogue

i really loved events like the slumber party that paired 2 unique concepts, or the internet event that was really out of the box and abstract.

listen to me. i have been cooking this one up in my mind for like 3 days and i haven't slept properly BUT HEAR ME OUT:
TIME TRAVELLING SUMMER EVENT. it would be So cool.

my idea for it is something along these lines... avian and totoro were goofing off and built a giant time travelling machine and invite you along, so the first day of the event would just be a small map in avian's / totoro's / whomever's big laboratory. second day is when you guys ACTUALLY start travelling to different time periods. i think it'd be an interesting history (mini) lesson, and you can even experiment with mini-themes inside the big time-travelling theme since... time !!
eventually you guys get stuck in the time space conundrum and have to figure a way out !! i'm thinking that big stereotypical purple spiral void full of random stuff from the places you guys travelled to. i think it would be cool if those said random loose items were tokens, since ya know, you're exploring time itself. or maybe assorted clocks. i dunno
i think a theme like this would be really cool for exploring other themes that might've been scrapped because there wasn't enough to work on or something like that !! i know i would love a map where you explore a cyberpunk-esque future, but that might be the inner cybergoth in me talking haha . references to previous events would be cool too!! imagine time travelling to the creation of chicken smoothie or something silly like that :3

sorry if this was long, i just had this idea and i had to write it down somewhere lolol

I am unsure how possible this would be. But, it would be really neat to have an actual advent calendar on the site. Each day people would get to click on the doors of the specific days on the calendar to see the countdown. Just a thought.

once again, December 18th is almost here.

my suggestion is simple-- please turn off the site feature that allows unregistered/logged-out people to adopt December 18th pets.

i know that cold logic says everyone has the exact same odds of getting a special release adopt on December 18th.
but most of us are not statisticians-- it's very frustrating to wonder if i would've gotten that special release had a logged out user not adopted it in that moment. I think eliminating this feature would assuage disappointment/hurt feelings somewhat for those of us who don't get lucky on Dec.18.

I have a few summer ideas
Great Barrier Reef sorta vibes one. I think we need to spread awareness about the coral bleaching of the reef. It’s the largest living structure on earth and it’s white, it’s horrible.
A cruise ship mystery, kinda like this years but like on a cruise ship lol

I don't know if we're allowed to disagree here but I viciously disagree with this suggestion.

People adopting off-account has absolutely no affect on what we adopt on-account.
I personally adopt the new URs off-account to unofficially "complete" my collection because I know I will never get them on-account. I literally use this feature to soothe my hurt feelings.

I have a suggestion/request for the Winter holidays event, might not be a popular one since I know people kinda love exclusive stuff, but here goes:

-It is *incredibly* stressful trying to remember to log on Every Single Day of the month, especially for the big 18 and 24 day drops... both of which I missed, because I had to work, and in my timezone, the rollover happens in my mid-afternoon, so if I don't sneak onto CS between finishing work and sleep (and I am often too exhausted to remember to log on in that short tiemframe until rollover has happened and then big sads) at night, then I don't get to click the adopt button in time.

I started off this year really enjoying the event, trading with people-- then I missed my first day, and it took me AGES to get the few pets I missed. Then I missed another day, then I missed the big super over-hyped drop of pets on the 18th.... by one hour. One hoooouuuurrrrr D: I honestly stopped paying attention and trying now, because it just. Got way too stressful trying to log on in time, and I gave up on completing my wishlist for that glorious little check-mark. So now I just catch what ones I happen to be able to log on and they're up. So I'm missing several days now, but oh well.

Anyhow, I guess my suggestion is; I wish the Winter holiday event releases, were like the Halloween event; they are available the entire duration of the event, and you can still only adopt them a limited number of times. That is SO stress-free, and it's one of the reasons the Halloween event is my favorite. I literally never get stressed out at all during that event, it's just fun and participation is laid back.

I can play the entire event without feeling pressured to log on on a timed and scheduled basis or get penalized for missing a day by missing out on the exclusive pets.


This year was the first time I really tried my hand participating in the advent trading thread; it was fun, mostly, aside from the above-mentioned stress. I'd really love to experience that same fun, but without the stress.
