so basically no public answer will be forthcoming, and officials do not think it needs answering - i understand perfectly. no point in my posting further, then. the response is clear, especially given that modmail is an answer to a single individual in private, and not a public statement.

i'll start drafting the emails to games journalists when the seemingly-inevitable-given-current-attitude "for 99 cents, get a selection of 5 random tokens so you don't need to worry about banners, kiddies!" hits the store, then. after all, if people complain about it, they're just not availing themselves of proper resources, right? ;)

Considering no such sale does or has ever existed on this site, I would kindly ask that you stop dramatizing the situation, and cease being demeaning to our staff, policies, and ethics.

Help tickets do result in public action frequently, whether it be revised rules, shift in thread ownership, or huge projects to revamp a section of the site. And, as Celozon stated multiple times, they were talking as a player then. They are not an admin. We do not speak for the admins while posting on discussion threads like this. They simply explained that making big claims on a forum thread is not the way to receive their attention. We are directing you to where your personal grievances can be best addressed, as this thread is not the place.

This thread should be about discussing ways to improve the event, and future ones. Thank you to the members who have been polite in supplying ideas and talking about how to advance. I've enjoyed the discourse about how things could be changed, and the fact that people have different playing styles and opinions on such matters.

@Buddy
As nick jr said, it's your thread so really you should decide if you want to stick with it's current argument, or adapt it to being about all token suggestions. Whatever the case, I think it would be helpful to list the applicable suggestions on the front page, as this has gotten past 100 posts and new people probs aren't going to read the whole thing! ^^

I feel the same as metonymy. It's why I simply took a break from CS for two years and only hopped on once in a blue moon. When issues came up, it was always "it's fine, it's OK" and no word from admins, except to lock threads with unsatisfactory answers to community problems. There are too many tokens in my humble opinion. I know a lot of users whom feel this way. A word from an admin, with a definitive answer or proposal, would be nice. Reiterating "it's OK there's nothing wrong" doesn't make people feel better. It's the equivalent to telling upset people to "calm down." People have been feeling overwhelmed with the past few events, the mass amount of tokens, the increase in payout, and the general "just trade for it" answer as if it eludes to not being able to get everything on your own due to the volume of tokens and payoff is expected.
I love CS. And, many, including myself, could just accept that if we got an official statement. It's nice to know the people you look up to on a website acknowledge a problem - be it an actual issue or perceived one. A lot of people would like less tokens. I think either less tokens or less pets/items payout would be nice. I myself wouldn't mind less items if it meant I could get the ones I liked and still have tokens in my collection.

I feel the need to clarify that the tone of opposing posts in this argument are not "it's fine, it's okay" and simply "just as you feel that this event is too hard, I as a player feel this event is fine and equal to past events". I think it's easy to forget that we are also just players who are giving our opinions on the matter. We're not giving definitive answers because we don't have the power to do that. We're not here to discount or discredit your opinions (and if you feel that that's the tone we've been giving I do apologise as that is not what's intended), we're just here to give our own opinions - and give our reasoning and statistics for that where it comes up. Personally, I don't find the event too hard or much harder than last year, but I fully acknowledge that a disproportionate amount of people are finding it to be that way and I agree that there should be change because of that. But, as is always the case, if anyone on the thread wants to speak to admins who can give definitive answers directly, the way to contact them is via a help ticket - the reponse will be directly to the sender, but they can post back here for anyone else wondering if they want to. This forum, however, is designed for discussion on suggestions, which is (mostly) what these posts are.

@sunfang, we aren’t saying that people’s frustrations are just fine and ok and to get over it. I too agree it’s frustrating.

What we’ve been saying is that it is not CS trying to exploit its users in some way or to get us to do something we shouldn’t be made to do. This game is all in fun and accusations like that are not justified and are getting to be on the dramatic and unnecessary side. It doesn’t even *appear* like they’re trying exploit anyone. It isn’t and shouldn’t be construed as that or even thought of for future ideas that they would be that way.

We aren’t saying there’s nothing wrong, each side is just giving it’s opinion. No need to attack others on either side and certainly not the mods, admins, and CS.

I would appreciate it if we could get back on track with actually trying to brainstorm ideas about the current topic, fewer tokens for summer events or of the like.

Honestly, the people that have been saying that the events are on par with previous years aren't wrong and that's the entire problem.

Events have just been getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Token turn ins are getting more and more complex.

Have you tried to trade for space events pets? They were hard to get during, after and even today. Pets from the space event seem more rare than other event pets.

Has anyone ever tried to get all of the Lost City tokens? Like, the ones that were only available the last couple of days? It's hard enough finding people that trade their items these days, much less a token that was two trades deep to get.

This problem is not new. It's been happening since 2016, people just didn't want to bring it up because it's seen as complaining. I had some strange idea that the admins would see the fancy numbers at the back, see a pattern and realize that there was some difficulty and correct the problem but this just never happened, year after year.
I think the candy event was the last true event that was manageable for both kids who were out of school and busy adults.

Now, in addition to getting bigger, this comes with some improvements. The race game's debut in Lost City was very popular.
But here it is again except now there are two of them, all asking for the same token. More stress to get more of this one type of token in the hopes that you'll win an RNG roll.

It all boils down to too many different types of tokens. Or too many tokens needed for a turn in, take your pick.

In my opinion, all of metonymy's posts have been something that only an admin can address and should be a help ticket since the whole base of the argument is with the way CS is run. That's not really in the scope of this thread because we're discussing the narrow issue of token events.

This is the thing. The events have been getting bigger, and better! So has CS in itself. I totally get and appreciate they want to please and make it exciting and are doing all of this for us. I love it. I love the events, items, pets, all of it. They have to grow the events to match the growing population and demand, and I totally get that.

I just definitely agree, and would love to see less tokens so that there are more options and it isn't as stressful for everyone. ^_^ I still have not yet obtained all the tokens, missing some fruit, and I'm 140 banners in. I can't imagine what it'll be like for those who can't come on often like my dear friend who's prolly at less than 30 banners or so.

I've updated the main page to include some of the suggestions brought up here, as well as some arguments for and against them!
If you guys have any other ideas as to what to add feel free to let me know, right now it's just kind of a basic outline c:

And also I kind of agree that the events are getting more overwhelming and complicated and that's where a lot of people are having issues. I don't think more is necessarily worse or anything, as it's always nice to have new features to keep things fresh, but perhaps features that require you to go through a whole process for one trade-in could be reworked? Like trading in tokens for other tokens to get pets, as has been brought up. I do really appreciate that staff have been trying to keep things fun though, I think that with these new features it allows us to do what we're doing now and discuss what we think works and doesn't work and move towards perfecting the events a bit more c:

I'm not at all complaining about the features introduced in the events! I love the duck and golf games, but I would actually like to be able to play them. I've been waiting and waiting for more chip tokens to fall into my lap to do so - all my three went to the Jungle Adventure. And while I don't regret spending the tokens I would really like more chances at those duck race prizes.

For all the past events when I couldn't get enough to really participate I just concluded I wasn't putting in enough effort. But now that I am actively gathering tokens, I see that it is in fact much harder than it used to be.

also maybe next year, game tokens are game tokens only & not for pet trade in too? I think that seems to be causing a lot of stress too once people were already behind and now there are pets to be traded in for those very same tokens.. at this point i believe resort chips are the most needed item to get everything
