"For display only" group trade setting

yes and no, yes because i think this is a great idea,and no.. because that would open up complaints when sifting through pets on my wl in trades, it should be to where those pets should NOT appear on my wl when activating the "only for show" groups if this were to become an option. <3

I wish people would just lock their pets when they don't want to trade them, but since that seems to be asking too much, I'd like something like this as long as the pets also don't show up in the "pets on your wishlist" drop down in trading, like I think you should have to click on the specific group they are in, as I believe it should be something applied to whole groups, not individual pets.

I vote yes! Everyone here is complaining about the same thing, which is valid—it can be frustrating when all the pets you want are in someone’s nft group. But I think this is a very simple compromise between all of us if there is a reasonable maximum on pets you can have on display! Maybe 5 at most could be the maximum, then people can display their favorites and you guess can’t get that made because it’s just 5 of them.

@ all the people suggesting ‘Just have the pets not show up under the pets on your wishlist tab’: extra visible pet groups when trying to find unlocked trade folders is still excess clutter. The pets on your wishlist option is at the bottom of the user’s visible folders; if they have a bunch of display folders, scrolling through all of them (and trying to find actual trade folders if you’re searching for a pet not on your wishlist for whatever reason, say, a recent outcome not in the archives yet), that’s still going to make the entire process more tedious.

No support, I use ‘pets on your wishlist’ when trading, and it’s a pain to weed through hundreds of pets if the user has NFT groups open…

It’s a cute idea, but it just makes trading even more a hassle; especially if people have 100+ NFT groups with 1 UFT group unlocked.

i don't want to see pets i can't offer for when i'm trying to trade, because that defeats the point of me being there- it takes longer to find what i want, when i find it there's a high chance it'll be locked anyway (as someone trying to trade for list pets), and it feels offputting to be bragged to while trying to help someone gather the pets they're looking for.

at current you can easily add pets to your trade rules and signature, which works exactly the same as what's being proposed without getting in the way of a core site function.

as an alternative, i would be in favor of a 'for display' setting that displayed a group of pets right on your user page, with your sig and stamps, and hid them from trading.

I would support this, but then if you had to click on the group itself what is the difference in this and just clicking someone's "my pets".

What is the necessity of the pets having to appear while trading and not through some other means, such as posting them in the trade rules?

No support because if you click their profiles view pets option Instead of the trade option you can see ALL pets regardless of trade status and you can write in your trade rules that you have cool displays set up and reccomend folks check it out!
