Mass deleting pets

Everyone against this definitely has good points, but I think the point of a mass delete option is to more easily get rid of common pets that don't have much value but are present in bulk—not to delete super rare pets that people typically don't have in bulk in the first place. I believe a bulk delete option wouldn't negatively effect the rare pet trade at all. If a player really wanted to delete one of their super rare pets, they can do so already.

Having hundreds of common/vc/omgsc with low demand can be quite a clutter because they are hard to trade away. Even when they are donated to the pound, they are often chosen last. These pets don't really go anywhere, so I think a bulk delete option would help with pets that have a low demand low supply problem

Infact, I've had trades accepted by the pound shorter than 24 hours, so it's not long. In fact, it probably takes longer for a mod to reach you to delete your account. And if you do ask a mod to close your account, they send your pets to the pound regardless.

So, it's not a long, tedious process.

It is, in fact, still a long, tedious process, regardless of what method you use to send your pets to the pound (through account deletion or doing it yourself). And they don't always send your pets to the pound. Aside from that, who wants to click through page after page to send the pets to the pound? That's very time consuming, and in the case of an accidental trade cancellation, it's even more so tedious.
If you want to delete your own pets, it's your choice; it's your decision to delete the pets you own, that you've earned. Deleting pets doesn't hurt the economy anymore than the pound having it for an indefinite amount of time.

Don't want to send multiple trades? Don't want to take time to send a big trade? It's best to wait and ask a mod to close your account, they send your pets to the pound regardless. That way admins can do it for you, if you wish to not send a trade.

So, it's not a long, tedious process. In fact, it's quite easy to delete said account if you so desire. Someone else might be happy with the very common you donated instead of deleting. ^^

I never heard of the pound accidentally cancelling your trade tbh o.o unless you have the same pets in another trade, that's normal. But again, mods can help with deleting an account and send those pets to the pound for you without having to do a trade yourself! C:

Unfortunately it comes with a cost. Store pets never get released, and we're already 15+ nons for a skelebun. It's difficult to trade for it, since not many users have 15 nons laying around to trade for 1 pet. Deleting does more harm than good, regardless of rarity. Some 2016 pets are at 1MA each already.

The rapid inflation is already alarming. Deleting can possibly cause significant inflation. It's about supply and demand.

It does hurt the economy in a way. The delete button WAS handy when CS didn't assigned rarity ways back (when it started) but now the feature is very outdated today.

The pound doesn't have it indefinitely, the pound will set pets up for adoption sooner or later. Pets are selected by RNG per opening. Each pet will be adopted out sooner or later. The pound doesn't keep any pets. ^^

I'm talking about a user accidentally cancelling their personal trade; I don't think the pound can do that. But just because people want their pets deleted doesn't mean they want their account deleted? They shouldn't feel obligated to outright leave the whole site because they want to leave behind the pet side of it. With how many pets there are in the pound, there's no telling when a specific pet will be picked to leave the pound and be given to someone. Also, people shouldn't feel obligated to give others their pets. Kindness is a virtue, and is not something that should be forced.

With that said, if someone wants to delete their pets specifically because they don't have time to trade, don't you think it would be someone with lower end pets? Why would someone delete their higher-worth pets after spending x amount of time to get them? It's more likely that lower-worth pets would be deleted.

I kinda wish it would be like this instead: Instead of doing a mass delete, maybe update the trade system where instead of spending hours upon hours of selecting, maybe there can be a feature that we can use that can make it select all?? I am not sure if that's honestly possible but I'd like the see the potential possibility of it! So you can trade them to the pound much easier

not for any "trading economy" reason because i don't think it applies to this situation. i just think it's a rather pointless feature and would lead to plenty of accidental pet deletions (which would then be reported to staff, adding more to their plate). throwing your pets in a trading bulk group or sending them off to the pound seem like fine solutions.

No support. Mass pound button would be much better.

There are limited number of pets in existance and people deleting Rares and VRs would happen which makes it harder for people to get their dreamies and feels cruel because of that.

Again, pound will adopt pets out eventually. Pound doesn't keep pets. The pound is kinda like December 18th in a way, it keeps pets flowing in the economy slowly without shocking it too much, throughout the entire year. It's best to have a slow and STEADY release, without it suddenly jarring the economy by flooding rare pets.

When you request your account to be deleted, your pets will be sent to the pound and your account will be inaccessible to the public. They can leave the pet side by this process without hurting the economy.

I agree with the 'Kindness is a virtue, and is not something that should be forced part', but the whole point of donating is anoymous with the pound. That way, people don't know who donated what.

Again, the pound is set up in a way to release pets of all rarity to not shock the economy. Some people find a very common pet a dreamie. Many people wish to have a complete collection.

there’s also the option to send in a help ticket, which basically debunks the whole “super tedious pet selecting thing” because you can quite literally have a staff member help with mass trades, including trades to the pound.

i agree, it would be an interesting feature, however if you wanna get rid of some, you could always gift them to random people or the pound!
