as an '09 member i'm seriously struggling with the idea the site is dying. i've poured so much love and time and uhh.. money.. into CS. I hate to see it die without any efforts of revival. We understand the argument that admin are busy, but is one update a month? a season? a year? too much to ask for.. when every other active adoptable site can make little updates weekly. how many years do we have to beg for the ability to reverse items? and all the other suggestions we've asked for with large support that have been sitting motionless for years. It's beginning to feel like user's are just taken for granted, that we're being laughed at while we spend our time and money on something that the admin team don't seem to care about anymore.

Sure, CS is dying, but it has it's charms. It feels genuine, and unique compared to other websites. If we were to sell this website to someone, who would it be? Would it be a corporation or some other people?

If we're gonna choose a corporation, are we just concerned that there will be too many massive changes?

it'd have to be to someone chosen by the admins and I'm sure they'd have their terms and conditions, maybe it'll be taken to a site vote, but anything at this point is better than the nothing we have now. agreed; even the simple fact that if they hired more staff to help the site that little bit more; to help organise the forums, update the users on what is happening and keep things flowing.

I just joined Dec 2019, so I'm still kinda new I guess, but I still agree with this suggestion 100%!!! What if CS had volunteers (like me,here) to help mod or sort the site (like volunteer artist or mods or coders). of course, the volunteers would literally VOLUNTEER to do stuff, so they don't need to be payed. And plus, they DO help out. so ya. Also, the volunteers won't just be random people, the admins will select them, so like, yes

Also, even in my short time here, i do feel like many suggestions arent being put into affect, even if they're extremely easy to code and massively supported.

Having only been here for what, 2 months now??, I can see how much this site has shrunk since when my friend joined. They described it as very fast and bustling, but now sometimes even the front page posts stop for seconds, up to a minute at a time. I can clearly see how this site is dying, giving it to someone with lots of ideas and coding experience would make me feel a lot better about CS's future.

Even if admins don't sell it away, hiring more people would be a great second option. I've seen people around that say that their dream is to become a general helper or global moderator on this site, having those people around that are willing to put hours into this site will go a long way. Maybe have a topic where people can apply to become general helpers, pick 10-ish, let them do their thing for around a month, and promote a couple to global moderator or artist positions? Hire more coders? Hire a team that only answers reports and site update suggestions and have them relay the suggestions to the aforementioned coders so they can actually do something?? Ideas like that give the site more life, and attract new members.

I 100% agree, I’ve been here for a while now and I would love to see the site grow more. I Miss the old days, when I was a lot younger and lived on the forum games and trade threads. People were always around and it seemed like there was something new to see everyday.

1, we need more activity. More moderation that is also faster and more efficient. More active staff members seems like a great idea to me.

2, we need stimulation something more to keep people wanting to be around. More updates are a great idea. I’d love to hear about how the sites doing and how the mods are going. Communication is key.

3, listen. More. The suggestion boards have gone quiet recently because no matter how much is suggested it seems like everything just gets lost and forgotten before it has a chance to thrive. I’ve had a few ideas that could get the site moving, but anymore it’s like speaking to a brick wall so it’s not worth speaking at all.

I’m bad at putting things into words, so I hope I got some points across at least.

i have a few suggestions for the owners or whoever decides to help this site.

1. please make it to where you can see ALL of their pets. its so exhausting flipping through peoples 300 groups, just have a group that says “show all”

2. sorting options. sort by date, sort by rarity, sort by name, species, whatever. available for all users to see for all groups, so if someone has a dense group of 1200 pets i can sort by rarity and pick out the ones i want to trade for.

3. an actual button that says “show 300 pets.” its not that hard to make a button, so why do we have to constantly type in the url &pageSize=300?

4. notifications that work. forums that are easy to browse. a dark mode. a custom background for the site. an easily browsable archive. i cannot tell you how frustrating it is to click deer and then it gives me a bunch of random bunnies

5. i absolutely despise bbcode. this is a personal thing but html is so much more diverse. add a function to decorate your profile with html? or something that isn’t just signature.

listen, i know running a site is exhausting and hard and its been so long that i’m sure you guys don’t want to anymore. but this website has so much potential.

there could be an app. there could be an official discord server with giveaways. there could be merch. there could be so much!

us players feel neglected and ignored and frustrated. its difficult when attempting to trade with the staff seeing rude messages and still wanting to continue to trade.

this website has turned into a currency for other websites. people are selling their pets for dappervolk, for flightrising, art—you name it.

again, I'm just putting forwards more support points:
So I have a grab bag threas (go check it out), and before I used to bump it like once I could (after the timer is done). I admit it was my fault I actualy didnt know. And before I bumped it so much it was on the front page 3 times like at the same time. So a mod pm'ed me telling me to not bump so much. But the mods care about bumping, and not racist and anti-human posts?
