Add a Oekaki forum for fanart specifically

Idk if this is a far fetched idea but,,, think about it. What if there was an oekaki section for tv/video game/book/ect fanart? So it didnt get grouped in with the Animals and Creatures section, or the Humanoid section. I think that would be neat, as a lot of Oekaki drawings on CS is fanart :).

I’ve always wondered why the site doesn’t have one! If it’s for copyright reasons it’s not preventing it at all cause’ there’s fanart EVERYWHERE lol. I really think categorizing for fanart would help a lot of people gain more reach with their content!

I don't personally see much use for it right now, the Oekaki boards just aren't busy enough to justify adding more subforums - all of the traffic from the last 24 hours on the most frequented board, Animals/Creatures, can be found on the first 2 pages of thumbnails. The first pages of Anthro and Humanoid subforums still have posts from 3 days ago. There's no real chance of fanart getting lost in these circumstances. What I believe could work better are functioning hashtags on Oekaki, to make looking for specific fandoms easier.

agreed on both points here. oekaki moves slowly enough in most categories that I don't think fanart tends to get lost, nor that another subforum would be a big boost to anyone's specific artwork. besides, there's such a breadth of fandoms out there that even having a fanart oekaki board might be confusing to navigate. functioning hashtags seem like a better solution for the issue being raised here, because people could use them to find art relevant to their particular fan interests. however, I have no idea if it's even possible for hashtags to be coded into the cs site as a whole, and (maybe pessimistically) it seems unlikely to happen.
