[suggestion] trade showcase feature box [REVISED!]

Out of curiosity, why not just ask for a new feature instead? A display feature? It's a closed locked group for display purposes only, wouldn't that solve the problem. People can then display their pets and people can still look and know it's - off limits - so no speak.

Maybe it can be above the trade rules. A small feature box where you can choose 3-4 pets to feature! Shouldn't be too hard to code. Or just have an ability to set a signature feature scene above the rules of that's too complicated to code. (Using the same code to 'click to set as a showcase in trade center') someone make a suggestion thread quick!

Suggestion; implement a 'showcase' feature box above or under your trades rules! You can add either just pets from your collection

It would save people the hassle of having NFT pets unlocked, and the pets you set in the feature section cannot be tradable. They will not contain items/dressups JUST like having an NFT group unlocked. Only a max of 3 can be added.



Note: the 'showcase feature box' will not have the ability to add text, just to show pets. No pet names so it doesn't need to be heavily moderated.

How it can be coded: Maybe the way it can be set would have the stamp format, a drag and drop. Or a drop down menu to click to add. For mobile, pet images will be resized via code so it doesn't stretch/create a long line to create painful scrolling.

Additional suggestion: Toggle feature If someone doesn't want to see this, they can either go in their own trade settings/board preferences and have an option called "Turn off ability to see feature box"

That way, if people want to show them off and not get unwanted offers...everybody wins!

i don't mind this as long as they don't clog up the trade drop down menu, i think it's fine being creative with your pets or wanting to show some of them off so i'd support a feature like this! i don't even hate little welcoming committee lore that some users have and this could make it easier to showcase that as well

Why can't you just display a couple pets in your trade rules?

All this feature will do is clutter up the trade menu, especially on phones, which is what I use the majority of the time.
This feature + image/gif heavy trade rules will make it laggy too, especially if the person you're trying to trade has tens of thousands of pets unlocked.

It's already a pain to trade on mobile, and I don't want it to be even more so.

That's the plan! Plus it's 100% optional to use if you rather have a showcase open.

Your mock-up looks okay (better than I imagined) and I wouldn't be completely opposed to something like it, especially if there's a toggle ^^

But I still feel like just having a couple pets displayed in trade rules is still a fine solution to display groups. I've had a couple pets/dress-ups in my rules since I've started playing, and I've only ever had 1 person try to offer on them.
I still have 1200+ characters left for my trade rules as well (but I never display more than two pets at once as to not be annoying)

I guess I'd rather the energy and time it takes to code this go into something else instead ^^

the "[name]'s" showroom text could be customisable too, maybe not entirely to anything they'd like, but at least to some presets i.e.,:

"always LF"/"always ISO"
"LF true-date swaps"
"current auctions"/"auctioning"
"hoarding"/"hoard pets"
"tentative, send suggestions"

could also be used to showcase items you want to offer (if dressups are visible), so "items i am LF" could be applicable too
