Currently, the description for the board of "Editable User Challenges/Memes" is
"For drawing challenges. If you post your drawings here, other people can edit them and make their own versions! "
Which is very close to the description of regular editable oekaki, and it is not quite clear on describing the intended use of the board, because "drawing challenge" sounds a lot like a competition. It also sounds like the official drawing challenge board. I recall when there was a suggestion thread for the creation of Editable User Challenges/Memes, the intention was to separate free lines and backgrounds from other types of editable such as: Color the x get an x, c4c, mine vs yours, free breedings, and gen challenges, which are more interactive with the maker of the editable. The old thread for suggesting this can be seen here, with the topic and comments describing the desire for these to be moved.
It... sort of helped? While the new board does contain entirely what is intended to be there, there are many of them in the editable oekaki board still. And while this is in part a moderation issue, this also may be in part because people are not aware that the other board is intended for that kind of interactive editable. I suggest naming specific examples in the description and/or renaming the board in a way that does not include the word "challenge". Some of the words in the OG thread involved calling it a game or activity board but not really a challenge. Editable Art games/memes? I think "meme" is still an accurate word to describe it. Activity? Trend? Interactive art memes/games?
I also would really appreciate moderation of the editable board on this problem - moving drawings like gen challenges to the correct board, and informing users of the move so that it is more well known among the userbase where things belong. Having a better description may reduce the need for moving drawings because they will be more likely to be placed correctly first time.
