I understand it being a little jarring but even if the lore is derived from actual seals being skinned there are native people who still hunt and skin seals, its apart of their life. Hunting and skinning is necessary to some populations survival so this just seems like living in a bubble to me ngl.

It's an unusual item mostly because there's not much you can do with it. I thought a selkie skin could look more like a coat with folds in it. This one looks like it's spread across the wall. I still like it for folklore reasons and I like Song of the Sea, so I want it to stay.
