the last time i did a request/freebie thread, it got a lot more attention than i expected, so i will preface this by saying that i think i'll only be able to do one slot for this round. perhaps more to come in the distant future though, who knows?

very very informal and 100% for fun, not fcfs, as i will be choosing whatever resonates with me the most. it'll be a surprise what you get, but it will look something along the lines of my personal pieces here: one| two| three

some notes:
- i prefer drawing human(oid) characters. creatures are not my forte
- no pen pressure life = difficult to color very intricate designs
- this is also my excuse to admire people's characters, so i honestly would love to hear you gush about them and read lore :]
- i have limited time during the week, so it may take me a bit to chip away at a full piece

personality + lore:
penguin guy model who tries to balance his yearning for the past with his old friend group including his best friend,before being forcibly separated- overcompensates by being a huge people pleaser and finds his heart broke quite easily. regardless, still believes in giving in the kindness of his heart, and doesnt like to acknowledge the sword of damacles hanging over him before he eventually burns out. big soft family guy.

personality + lore: Caelum is old and wise, having lived through many life-changing and earth-shattering events. He radiates kindness and everything he does it for the goodness of others.

symbolism/moodboard: feathers, ichor, and human bones; an angel that craves oblivion
personality + lore: Riree was born an angel, but believed themself to be a normal human up until a terrible accident where they ended up drowning in a river, only to come back with massive white wings. Now they find themself being chased by a prophecy they want no part of, and death seems to follow them but will not take them. despite the losses they've faced, Riree remains extremely kind to others and wears a perfectly calm smile, yet comes across as eerily pessimistic - almost like they're always bracing (or hoping?) for the worst.

personality + lore: Calm, distant, indifferent. Has been blind since birth however, due to this he was designated as the tree of lifes guardian. His lack of sight was taken as a great favour, he would never witness the evils of the world, so is considered pure, perfect for tending to the tree of life. He was raised as a guardian of the tree excelling in combat, he is highly respected yet many are envious of his role. He actually doesn't care much for those around as he spends all his time with the tree, so even when war breaks out between tribes he maintains a merciless calm. He doesn't care who wins all loses he only role if to tend to his tree.

personality + lore: Stoic, distant, calm, caring, protective, neutral. He’s kinda like a ‘keeper of the forest’ in a way. He’s outcasted and cares for the outcasted children. He’s a protector and only has a soft spot for kids

symbolism/moodboard: my theo is a watchdog, a species in my lore similar to a werewolf. a watchdog chooses one person in their early stages of development (years 15-25) to dedicate their entire life towards protecting. when their 'master' is endangered, the watchdog transforms into their guardian form, resembling a state similar to a werewolf (another of my watchdogs in guardian form seen here). TL;DR : guardian angel / guard dog
personality + lore: my theo struggles with a trauma-induced dissociative disorder, so his soul has essentially split: his human side, and his watchdog side. his strongest desire is to bond with the love of his life, to protect them from all that might endanger them, but his soul is tattered, and he spends a good portion of my novel attempting to overcome this frustrating split. he's snappy, grumpy, but he loves his darling with all of his soul (even the broken watchdog side)

personality + lore: Nora is a tiefling harpy she is very excitable and a bit stupid, born in a family of 2 tieflings (her mom a lovely lady, and her ‘dad’ a royal guard who just wanted a kid and was cursed with this thing for pissing off a elder Fae) her mom loves her but her dad throws himself into his work to avoid her, Nora doesn’t really understand and just wants to impress him, her real dad the harpy guy is a bit of an ass, he’s lived so long he uses her like amusement, has a tendency to promise her things and like a monkeys paw give it to her in the worst way possible, Nora wanted to impress her dad so her harpy dad promised her powers. In turn pushes her too hard with those powers ending up with her blowing up her family home killing her mother, Nora doesn’t truly understand, she doesn’t blame herself for her mothers death but doesn’t really understand it in general, just understands she’s not around, even if she literally blew her up like right next to her lol, anyway Nora runs off into the woods surviving the house fire, she lives in hiding for a few years eating trash and stuff from the garbage, or stealing, she gets really good at stealing, until a traveling freak show circus arrives, she sneaks into a tent and starts eating grain meant for the horses and gets caught, since she’s a bloody bird monster she gets indoctrinated into the freakshow, then dnd campaign begins lol

symbolism/moodboard: liminal spaces, whispers in the dark, eyes etc.. he has a lot of artistic liberty, so you're free to just do whatever you think fits him.
personality + lore: Sawyer doesn't have a lot of planned lore as of right now. I'm not entirely sure what to do with him because he does mean a lot to me, but he's my only character I can use for this situation! So far, sawyer is able to break the 4th wall. He's kinda like a 'distraction' if he were to be in the video game, where as he'd manipulate the player, stop them in their tracks or overall mislead them. He's a prankster and a trickster, but he's also just lost. So far (until things are actually figured out) he roams liminal spaces. And as previously stated, he's not very helpful to anyone else who needs to find the exit. But when he's alone he normally takes the times to reflect, and sometimes it helps. (He considers being a good person, though he's programmed not to, and feels a bit lost. Correlating to his 'facial features'- sawyers face can change to any shape or any expression. Hence his examples on his ref, but maybe soon a corrolation to his shifting personality.) his tattoos also correlate similarly and can be changed or removed! He's a big work in progress backstory wise c: I've been thinking on it! He yearns to be who he was before his current identity. I don't wanna write too lengthy on the subject, but if you'd like more information I can edit or send a message, and I can scavenge up his past inspiration!!
also random fun fact, if he's caught on camera or seen through a certain lens, his face seems to blur. It was never drawn, but I just thought it would be fun to make a head canon for him to also add meaning.

- his facial features and tattoos can change in ANY way or be entirely removed. c: his jacket can also be removed!
