this is a much more general overview of stuff that doesn’t need much explanation that all relate to the territory, other lore, or clan life.

the clan typically deals with the following predators of bears, foxes, and hawks. bears and hawks tend to come to the area for its fish and smaller prey. so, they aren’t seen as much compared to foxes. foxes are a more common sight than the other two. they come to the area for its large prey population and to raise their cubs there. these are more common within the newleaf and greenleaf seasons. the predators tend to leave the cats alone but may attack if they are necessarily trying to defend something or to go after the cats.

the prey of fogclan are all types of birds, salmon, crabs, chipmunks, and squirrels. birds and squirrels are the most common types of prey with crabs being hardly on the freshkill pile. they are mainly focused on hunting in the forest, so they don’t venture towards the beach unless they are on a longer hunting patrol. crabs are seen as a snack to hold one over on these patrols and everything else is a singular or shared meal.

every cat is friendly with each other, but groups rankings do tend to cause some divides. the hunters and scouts stick to their ranks and mainly make friends there while being acquaintance with those of other ranks. council and healers tend to befriend any rankings but may not fully relate to others. cats of other ranks tend to socialize together. but, there are some tensions between some cats like in any normal clan.

the clan ranking system was decided by the collective clan. they kept the council ranking as it was a sign from starclan to start it up, but included a voting system to ensure starclan didn’t have to send dreams to prophesied council members again. the two lead roles were added to make a senior warrior able to speak up for their fellow rank members. both groups require training an apprentice first to be qualified for it. along with those changes, warriors were split into scouts and hunters to ensure only cats who needed it would be taught offensive moves. it is a means to control who is taught what. cats were retrained somewhat when this was first put into place. the rest of the ranking stayed the same, but with some changed. a queen became a permanent role to help out the healers. and, the medicine cat rank was changed to healer after the discovery of the marsh walker’s medicine cat rank and duties with it. this was done to make a difference between the two ranks as one is starclanless and the other isn’t.

council members-

foxcall - foxcall was a loner who came to the clan as a means to help rebuild it. she heard tales of the clan and wanted to see it for herself; however, when she saw that they were looking for new cats, she joined the clan, and then quickly rose to the rank of council member. to the clan, she’s seen as the whinier council member and only orders other cats around. but to her, she’s like this as a means to protect herself and kin as it wasn’t pretty as a loner. but, she does fine within her role. here is a summarized relationships.

• flamepaw is her kit and she’s fiercely protective over her.
  
• morning-gaze is her mate and deeply cherishes.
  
• cloversong and whitethroat are her co-leaders who she gets along with well and highly respect.
• tawnystrike just scares her for some odd reason.
• ambergaze is a good clanmate who she respects his input and knowledge about certain topics.
• speckledpear is a good friend for foxcall and always is willing to share tongues with when there is downtime.

cloversong - cloversong is an ex-kittypets who entered fogclan territory before it’s current state. she forced herself into becoming a medicine cat to ensure she didn’t witness any battles, but she couldn’t deal with the injuries that resulted from them. so, when the current fogclan came about, she became a hunter then rose up to be a council member. she is highly respected in the clan and most enjoy her company. all she wants is for others to be happy. here is a summarized relationships.

• sand is her mate and though they are in different groups, they still retain a good communication between them both.
• foxcall and whitethroat are her co-leaders and she likes them both. but, she prefers foxcall over whitethroat.
• ambergaze is her close friend and old apprentice. even though ambergaze hated her for a bit after becoming a hunter, they made up and became close again.
• tawnystrike and morning-gaze are respected by her for their input, but they can be annoying when they bicker.
• dustysun, though silent and distance, is a good cat to have in company.


whitethroat - whitethroat had a similar situation when joining fogclan like cloversong. she became a warrior but often times ran head first into battles. she rose to council member without the dream that starclan sent, but she quickly has proven herself as a valued member. cats value her input into situations and look up to her. they believe that she would’ve been head of meetings due to how she is, but whitethroat settled for battle leader instead. here is a summarized relationships.

• foxcall and cloversong are good co-leaders but she feels as if they don’t do much and could be better.
• tawnystrike and morning-gaze are good leaders for their ranks and could easily be a good addition for the council, according to her.
• ambergaze and flamepaw are cats who she doesn’t know well, but they do well within their rank.
• jayflight is an annoyance but is one of the best scouts that they have, so they bear through it.
• speckledpear is an enjoyable cat who she enjoys talking to.

healers -

ambergaze - the main healer of fogclan who originally struggled with his connection to starclan. his old mentor didn’t have that connection, so he was supposed to build it up himself. he saw fogclan go through its second rebellion and the formation of the new one. he is described as hard working by his clanmates and caring. here is the summarized relationships.

• cloversong is his old mentor who he hated for leaving him back then, but now, they are good friends.
  
• foxcall and whitethroat are respected by him yet he doesn’t fully trust their leadership.
• flamepaw is his apprentice and is impressed by how quickly she picked up herbs and the duties of a healer.
• speckledpear is his apprenticeship friend as both originally wanted to be healers, but she went off to be a queen’s helper when the role was created. he may have feelings for her but refused to confess in fear it would ruin their friendship.

flamepaw - flamepaw is the healer apprentice and is known for her quick learning skills. she has always had an interest in the role, and she immensely enjoys training. her only motive is that she just wants to heal her clanmates, so she doesn’t care as much for the starclan connection for her. here is the summarized relationships.

• foxcall and morning-gaze are her kin yet she doesn’t like them as much. she puts on a front and doesn’t like it.
• ambergaze is her mentor and enjoys his company and guidance a lot. she thinks of him as a parental figure within her life.
• jayflight is a friend of hers. they have to keep it more secret to protect them from foxcall’s rage.

lead scout -

morning-gaze - she is a more of a background figure who just lucked out. she was a normal scout who was accepted for this role. she can be seen as annoying yet a good tactical and listening leader. here issue summarized relationships.

• foxcall is her mate and absolutely cherishes her.
  
• tawnystrike is her ex-apprentice who switched to be a hunter in order to be the lead hunter. she hates him for it yet has to stay neutral with him.
• jayflight is highly respected by her due to her skill.
• eaglepaws is her apprentice and believes he will do well, but he will return to his home when he is grown and a full scout.

scouts -

jayflight - jayflight is a prodigy scout who impressed a lot of scouts. being an explorer, she mainly is away from camp and doesn’t know much of the clan too well. she has a sharp tongue and seems to hate most, but it is only a front to put up a rough reputation. here is the summarized relationships.

• flamepaw is her good friend, and she enjoys the curious healer’s questions about stuff. though they keep it secret as jayflight is infamous for hating foxcall.
  
• speckledpear, whitethroat, and morning-gaze are some of the few cats who have won her respect. they are very insightful and some who she looks up to.
• foxcall is the worst council member and hates her.

lead hunter -

tawnystrike - he is a scout turned hunter. he is known for his battle skills and harsh words. he is a good hunter who has a mysterious past with the lead hunter who mysteriously vanished. some say that he killed them to ensure he would get the rank better, but those are just rumors, right? here is the summarized relationships.

• morning-gaze is his old mentor who he left to become a hunter, and he hates her.
  
• flamepaw is a cat who he feels like he can manipulate due to her quiet and secret nature around him.
• foxcall and cloversong are cats who he should respect but doesn’t as they don’t do what they should, according to him.

hunters -

haystalk - he is a old barn cat who came to fogclan when it was rebuilding itself. he is a skilled hunter in the trees. he doesn’t socialize much with others and is secretive. here is the summarized relationships.

• he holds respect for all his clanmates yet keeps them at a distance.
  
• cinderkit and goldenkit are his kits with a loner, and though he doesn’t visit them much, he does love them.
dustysun - he is your basic clan cat. he doesn’t like being a hunter and wished to be the lead one yet tawnystrike threatened him. here is the summarized relationships.

• tawnystrike is his most hated clanmate and spreads every rumor about him.
• he doesn’t like anyone in this clan and wishes to leave yet needs to stay due to failing vision.

apprentices -

eaglepaws - he is one of the two kits who washed up on the shore. he is determined to get home. here is the summarized relationships.

• jayflight and whitethroat are his mentors who he respects.
  
• moth is his sister and dearly loves her. he also wants her to go home with him.

queens -

speckledpear - being one of the first permanent queens, she is the leader of them all. she is quite attentive and loves to shower her clanmates in gifts and love. here is the summarized relationships.

goldenkit - he’s one of the two kits who showed up randomly with haystalk. he is very chaotic and full of himself. here is the summarized relationships.

• haystalk is his kin and yet doesn’t seem to know why he doesn’t like him. he just wants to be closer with him.
  
• cinderkit is his littermate and loves to bug her.

cinderkit - she one of the two kits who showed up with haystalk. she is more reserved and likes to watch the clan.

• goldenkit is her littermate and finds him very annoying.

marsh walkers -

sand where the waves crash - not much is known about the ceremonial leader to fogclan besides that she is a good one. here is the summarized relationships.

• moth is one of her apprentices and enjoys the determination of her.
silver moth upon the breeze she is one of the two kits who washed up on the shore. she is determined to get home in the marsh walkers. here is the summarized relationships.
