thank you kana for this opportunity as well, I really had a lot of fun developing this darling (and related to it a whole lot since writing is my passion as well, and I always love something that I can include magic and medieval fantasy elements in because that's my jam so I loved the prompt a lot too) and I'm really proud of what I did manage to finish before the ending time. everyone has such really cool concepts, I've been looking over the entries for such a long time and they're all so incredible. whoever this kit goes to I'm sure will give it the most wonderful home, and I really look forward to seeing who it is!

maester's/doctors/healers apprentice, doesn't do the healing, just writes all the notes and observations, keeps tally of items and goes out to fetch what they need/what materials they're lacking or out of
Sent to castle by father after mother died, keeps up through writing letters to him?
Traveled a lot with father before being sent there, write about how she was entranced with each and every hanging leaf they passed and was mesmerized by how beautiful the nature was

Then the cards call to her, or some creature pulls at her attention (maybe borzoi dog friend takes masquerade mask and she chases after it? "Hey what are you doing? Come back here, I need that! Master gave it to me!"?), and she's led on a chase, a little journey, maybe the courtyard, a forest path, then to masquerade? She saw no interest in going and wanted to write instead, but is led there, and through the journey there is reminded of her passion, of why she loves writing? All the unique, beautiful masks and flourishes of colors and stories from all over the lands
Maybe even guest appearance from lyre as someone she bumps into? Tingle from the cards because she's the high priestess??
She felt a tug at her mind, a pull at the very edge of her conscious, pulling her towards the table, where the deck of her master's cards had been placed upon them. Did they have something to tell her? They must, they never called to her if they didn't. She padded softly to the table
