hey can anyone help me with the event?

i'm stuck at the part where you have to catch the reindeer but i'm blocked by a pile of snow
everytime i press enter/space it says "you dig your way through the snowdrift" but then i'm unable to move and then i have to refresh, but i have no idea on what to do.

just give it a moment to dig through, then the drift disappears and you can walk through again. patience, my friend. c:
