They announced that there would be prizes every day now, I assumed it meant items all the time. ^^" Okay, thanks for letting me know.
It seems like it's random though? The past two days there were items, the dizzy stars and golden arm cuffs, but I guess today was just gems then.

What are party hats worth nowadays? I was trying to trade my blue one away and these two jammers tried telling me that my party hat was worth either a red short collar or a few long wrists instead of a black long + . I had a feeling that they were lying and were criticizing my trading choices and were making accusations that I was a scammer. I even tried explaining to them that according to the item wiki, the blue party hat was worth a black long + but they kept telling me that I was wrong. I unfortunately didn't get their usernames to report them (they were hiding behind people so I couldn't click their tags) but it made me doubt whether or not I was asking for a fair offer.

The weird thing was that neither of them tried to trade for it? It makes me curious as to what they were trying to accomplish XD

To answer your question, yes blue party hats are still worth a black long +, I assume those people were just trying to troll/bully you, hoping you might trade it for less and be scammed. I haven't heard of any duplicating happening with party hats recently, either.
