A video does sound like an interesting way to introduce new members c: having it on the front page would make it very simple for new users to be included quickly. I know when I first joined CS I was a little out of my element for a week or so before I started getting the hang of everything ^.^

I believe a youtube guide would be wonderful! It could be used to have post newbie guides, as well as guides for trading, dressing up, and potentially even lore c:

but yes!! I think Fallen_Angels should have control over the youtube channel, - since it's their site aha ... or someone they know / who helps them run the actual site(?)...I used to make speedpaints, so I could help with the thumbnails (or even the banner) if you ever needed someone ^^;

but I totally like the idea of a youtube channel to help with guides and such, - and who knows,
since adoptables sites are quite similar, you could be watching a Chickensmoothie video and
a Musings tutorial video could pop-up on the side, - and since that person obviously likes adoptable
pets due to playing CS, they'll click. ( my logic of it at least.

I second (third? fourth? fifth?) the tutorial videos too! It would probably make things easier for the staff too in terms of helping new players find their way around. It would kind of streamline things, and if the presentation of the videos was appealing, it may also draw in more newcomers from whatever site we post the videos on!

I think the video would be a great idea! When I first joined CS I had no idea what I was doing, I couldn’t even ask for help because I didn’t know how to post/PM. (I’m not saying anything bad about CS here, I spend pretty much all my free time on here) The video would be a great way to show new members around, or just navigate them to a FAQs or help page so they know the basics and can learn off of that.

Also, (This might have been asked already, I’ve given up on trying to catch up on past conversations) I was wondering if we were going to have some main characters? (like Avian and Totoro) Or just some others on events or different pages.

I love that idea of a video!!! Sites like this can be quite confusing and i think it is a good idea to have a tutorial video for newbies and past people who have forgotten.

General ideas seemed to run along having "mascots" to represent the admin, who would then act as NPCs, running events, acting as shopkeepers, etc., which I support. And I'd loooove to do the art for it honestly, I primarily do humans and humanoid concepts.

I was thinking maybe each of the staff could have a “mascot” and then we could rotate these “mascots” around as NPCs for events. Maybe it will too confusing for the users though. Too many mascots and names could confuse them.
