I'll explain to you:

I was playing as my bunny and i wanted to try and get into temple of zios to trade. I accidentally ended up clicking Crystal Reef and went there. Since both of my non member animals are land animals (wolf and bunny), I WAS PLAYING WITH MY PENGUIN!
When i came back to any of the lands, I STILL HAD THE PENGUIN.

So technically, I WAS PLAYING WITH 3 ANIMALS AS NM!
So that's cool
