Club penguin - Scamming people just to buy "cool" stuff?

Postby e.mbr » Sun May 01, 2011 4:20 am

OK, so I'm kinda annoyed. I love club penguin and am glad i have been on since January 2007 but, the old fee for a year was $35. not too bad. You got to do SO much stuff. NOW it is a flipping $59.99! i mean all for that you can only buy clothes, play "special" games and get extra $. Seriously? I mean when it was $35 it was a equal balance of nonmembers and members. now non members ccan some times even go into rooms because the were "members only parties" there.
Do you think that thats a little far i mean even in price! 1 month is pretty cheap but 59.99!
gar.
Ok so any body have any thoughts?
PLEASE DONT DO THIS [sorry for caps] " WEL IM A MEBER AND I WUB IT! UR DUM" 1. That shows your not above 18 and is using wrong speech.
Thank-you!

I do find this quite unfair, but I guess we just have to live with the fact that maybe the site isn't getting enough money.

Hello, I'm tech.

Feel free to send me any trades involving
list pets.

I also enjoy roleplaying, so feel free to send
an invite for any 1x1 roleplays as well.

Lastly, I've been gone for quite some time,
and I'm looking for trades with normal pets,
Christmas and advent pets, and general
wishlist.

I know, i used to LOVE foo pets. Then they, made it so there was foobucks to get a pet, then they made it so that you had to earn a pet with out a club foo acount and now they wont even allow you to log in! I have been a member 2 times for 1 mont on CP but when it expires you want it again. Hey at least deviant art lets upload.

Wow, I joined Clubpenguin a few months after it launched (a few years ago) and it was soooo popular.
I remember it being freaking awesome when you were a member and you were so cool if you bought these certain clothes
and had dancefloors all over your igloo, and it was like 5$ or something for membership.

Maybe summer time around last year I decided to check it out again, (since I quit in like 2008) and holy crap it changed so much.
I was very disappointed. D:
Why do all the fun and awesome games overtime turn to shart?
Really, Runescape was one of the best games i've ever played on the computer and they went and f'ed it all up.

IKR! Alot of childrens websites theres a "membership". like on pixie hollow, I remember when you didnt have to be a member to play all of the game levals. and when you created your fairy, you got to pick from WAY more hairstyles and you got to buy furniture and ou got to buy hairstyles. but mabey sites (like clubpenguin) Mabey needs the money... but for petes sake, ITS DISNEY. they have enoughmoney as it is.

i knw what your talking about i had paid for a one month membership for myself and my sister on clubpenguin, well i bought it in the middle of the month so it went far into the next month. :? unfortunately they billed me for another month which i did not pay for so in essence i was made to pay for 3 months. >.< then when the site went down the very next day my membership was gone. now i dont mind not having my pixles to have clothes but i worked hard for that money... and it wont refund me. ehh it kinda sucks.

I joined Club Penguin when I was in fifth grade, and I loved it to death. {It's been about four years now. x3} But they've changed it so much this last year. I have to say, I'm disappointed. I prefered it the way it used to be. I haven't gone on that site for months now. My little sister still adores it though, and she jumps at the chance to get a memebership. I don't know what the people behind the game are thinking. Maybe they really do need more money. Maybe it's something else.
