What is Furry Paws?
I'm so glad you asked! Furry Paws is an in-browser realistic Dog Breeding Sim that allows you to build your own lines, compete in shows, and work towards creating the perfect dog! It is entirely free to play, with optional purchases using a premium currency that can both be traded for using the free currency and randomly earned by just playing the game! There are currently 224 different breeds for you to master, with new ones constantly being suggested by the community.
The Halloween event is starting soon! Go trick-or-treating with your pups to earn limited-time items and cool effects for your dogs!
Why should I join?
Unique Dogs!
Every dog has a unique image that is generated when it is weaned! There can be thousands of combinations of colors, shades, and patterns! Even two genetically identical dogs can look slightly different due to the number of shades for each base coat! Below are some examples! (All Border Collies)
Inbreeding / Clean breeding
Everyone has different opinions on inbreeding in breeding sims. Luckily, Furry Paws has you covered! Avoiding inbreeding can be easy, with the ability to create unlimited new dogs of any breed at a relatively cheap price! There are also no repercussions to inbreeding. Some people who want to lock in desired traits faster will often have relatively inbred lines, and there is no judgment or punishment for playing that way!
Premium accounts
While paid aspects of a breeding sim sound like a dealbreaker, this isn't a "grind hard enough and you'll eventually get there" situation. Every integral part of the game is entirely free! Becoming premium only gives some perks, such as having PFPs or keeping an extra puppy from a breeding, and is primarily a way to support the site! Not only that, but the premium accounts are very cheap! One month costs 5 FPP (a premium currency), translating to only $2.50 USD! A year only costs 40 FPP!
Locking dogs
My favorite part of this game is the ability to lock your dogs to prevent them from aging! While this seems counterproductive initially, I love the ability to lock all my dogs and return later, allowing me to take a stress-free break! It also makes it easier to keep as many dogs as you can fit in your kennel and not worry about having to click through hundreds of dogs daily.
Cassos, Clubs, and Forums
If you love community, you can interact with others in so many different ways! Firstly, are in-game Canine Associations, or Cassos! Players can register their dogs to a Casso to give them breeding buffs! The presidents are voted for monthly to advocate for less popular breeds in the Casso! Clubs are entirely player-run and owned by a singular person, usually based on hobbies or playstyles rather than breeds! And finally, if you love forums, there are all sorts to read, chat, and learn! There are even breed and mechanic suggestion boards so you can help shape the game and its future!
