Need help! I want to make a virtual pet site

Hey Y'all, its me. I am trying to figure out a way to make a virtual pet site (with no code because I can't code for my life) and all of the links in Tess's old post are broken. Do you guys have any idea on what to do? I do not have any money, at most $50. So..ya know.

Please help, I am very lost on what to do, as my main social media is dead and I want to make my own. SOOOOOOOOOo yeah.

Can you elaborate on what kind of features you want to have on this site? If you want to do it with no programming at all, that will be tricky and your best option would be to find someone who can program.

If you want something similar to the very early days of CS, from before there were even accounts: I actually wrote some code to do basically that last month. It was fairly involved, but only took a few days; drawing the art was far harder.

Account creation can be tricky. I spent several hours today trying to figure out how to add it to my own site with mixed results.

Another option would be to run your site as a thread in an existing forum. I know a lot of people do that here.

You won't be able to start a site with $50 not knowing how to code. Hosting a site costs $25+ a year and you'll also have to hire someone to code it OR learn to code yourself. Not to mention you'll need other things that'll cost as well. And if you plan to earn any money from it you'll need to have it set up for that. As the user above mentioned running a thread will be your best bet but it'll be a lot of work. If you can do the art you'd probably be better off selling one of a kind adoptables rather than a pet site.

A well functioning petsite with enough pets, things to do and coded well enough to be fun and ongoing will take 100s of hours to make. It's definitely not a small investment of time or resources! I would start learning how to code if you are really invested.

It's very hard to make a virtual pet website like Chicken smoothie, flight rising, etc without coding knowledge. You'd also need a big team for moderation on the site, and artists if your not drawing the art yourself. It'd cost alot of money to hire people to do the work for the website as well not to mention. It also in general is a very big project to take on, even with a team.

I'd recommend start learning how to code basic things to get a general idea of making something like a site. You can also ask coding forums for help as well.
